This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I found out a moth after I bought my car that the "Transmission!!!" needed to be replace. when I called Hyundai for help they said tha I've ever had. I found out a moth after I bought my car that the "Transmission!!!" needed to be replace. when I called Hyundai for help they said that they took off the 90 day Hyundai warranty that they promised me off the car and replaced it with the third party warranty I bought. I was told my warranty would only go into effect after the 90 days. When I asked them why they took away their warranty they said "your warranty is better than ours and our warranty does not cover transmissions". Funny enough when I went there last week, one of their managers told me that their warranty does cover transmission but they "only give their warranty to clients who don't buy/have a third party warranty". My car was supposed to only take one to two weeks to fix but ended up taking a month. On top of that, College Park Hyundai did not help me to get a rental at all. I went to go speak to them multiple times and all they said was that they could not do anything. I ended up paying for a rental out of my pocket which was expensive since it was short notice. I paid for the whole month and Hyundai did not even reimburse me anything for that. Overall, I'm very disappointed with the service and will never be taking my car back here. I will never buy a Hyundai car again and I will warn everyone I know not to. I almost could not believe what I was hearing half the time because it felt like they were insulting my intelligence. When I asked the manager if I could make a complaint or speak to a case manager after I explained this whole story he said "I can't help you with a claim unless I know specifically what you need" I thought that's what the case manager was for. It sounded like they were trying to keep me from submitting a complaint. More
We experienced deplorable customer service at College Park Hyundai. Our car was with them for 4 months. Hyundai corporate reached out to them on our behalf to submit to us a goodwill estimate, which they refused to do. This added to an already trying situation after our suffering from our car being stolen. Additionally, they demanded that we had to pay their fees by their timeframe or they would move the car to an auxiliary lot where additional fees would accrue. That timeframe was one week even though our insurance deductible would cover the costs. Chester was rude, refused to listen, and wasn't cooperative when we told him that we had a case manager and were working with Hyundai corporate. He flat out refused to assist and was disrespectful. Called because at 13,000 miles my 2021 Hyundai shut off while I was driving it. Called three times and explained what happened. Lady said car had not been serviced in over a year when it was serviced at C while I was driving it. Called three times and explained what happened. Lady said car had not been serviced in over a year when it was serviced at College Park 2 months before and had 1000 miles to go before next service was due. A few days later service called back. By then the car had cut off again so I left it at another dealership. When I got a mail in my tire, College Park could not located my $800 tire protection plan that I purchased from them. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A SERVICE APPOINTMENT! I am not one to write a review about my experience at a business, but I was met with no alternative. I feel compelled to use my words so that the I am not one to write a review about my experience at a business, but I was met with no alternative. I feel compelled to use my words so that the next person does not ever have to experience the amount of unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and manipulation I did at this Hyundai College Park location. I want to point out this by stating that I am a young woman, and I am aware that being a young woman can welcome greed and manipulation. My reason for bringing in my Hyundai vehicle was that I needed an alignment and for them to analyze my tire to see why it did not hold air long. So, I made a service appointment and arrived on time. I informed the desk attendant, Joesph, that I would be waiting at Hyundai for my car. Two and a half hours later, Joesph came back and said that my alignment was not done and that I needed to order parts, and then they would reschedule me for another service appointment to have my alignment done. Also, Joesph stated the amount for labor and that my tires are in decent shape. Additionally, he stated that the mechanics did not remove my tire because I needed to order new parts for an air pressure light. Truthfully, I felt like what he said did not add up, but I remained calm and believed that Joesph and the team knew best because they work on Hyundai vehicles consistently. However, I was vexed that I waited nearly three hours for them to communicate this information, and I have yet to receive service to my car. Nevertheless, I swiped my card and purchased the parts. A week went by, and I have yet to receive a call from Joesph or Hyundai notifying me that my parts had arrived. So, I called to see if the parts had arrived. To my surprise, the parts were in, and I managed to schedule another service appointment with someone who was not Joesph. When I arrived for my second service appointment, I told Joesph I would wait at Hyundai while they worked on my car. Three hours go by, and Joesph comes to me to show a picture of my tire. He stated that I needed to order additional parts because they discovered why my tire did not hold air. I wondered why they did not inform me the first time I visited. Did they not check my tire on the first day I came in for a scheduled service appointment? He said they knew more because a different mechanic was more experienced and removed my tire to find the reason. He apologized for wasting time and showed me the increased cost of my parts but left out the labor costs. A week and a half went by, and I did not hear back from Hyundai or Joesph regarding my parts. So, I quickly decided to call them, but I requested to speak with a supervisor this time. They transferred me to Marcus. Marcus heard all my concerns and assured me he would be at the next appointment he scheduled for me. I arrived at the scheduled appointment at 8 am, and there was no sign of Marcus. A lovely woman Nyla helped me. She asked what service I will need for my car, and I let her know the service I needed. Also, I told Nyla that I would be waiting for my vehicle. An hour goes by, and she asks if I can come to speak to her discreetly. So, I immediately went to her. Nyla told me that Hyundai has no record of me purchasing any parts. Immediately I became frustrated and told her both receipts were in my car. I showed her my receipts which add up to over $1000. Then I asked where Marcus, the supervisor, was. Melodie, the manager, said he was off. Nyla also asked if Joesph had told me about the service price. I said that Joesph told me my labor price on the first visit. Nyla put the amount on a sticky note, which was an awful large amount. Then Melodie also informed me of the service price, and this time the price increased by $500. That is when I said I no longer wanted service here and requested a refund. I did not trust that this location would do an adequate job, and there was no way I was paying $1500 for labor costs when the work I needed to be done on my car was so simple. I went to another dealer that is not Hyundai and my alignment for a year cost me $123. The moral of the story is this location has no integrity and will try to overcharge you for minimal work. To this day, my refund is not processed, and I am still waiting to hear back from Marcus, the supervisor, or Melodie, the manager. I left a voicemail asking for an update and was met again with no response. I implore you to read reviews before you get service done here and not to waste your time. Horrible communication, manipulation, and nasty attitudes wait for you. More
This dealership matches the quality automobile it's named for. As a 12-year owner and now a Venue 2021 owner, I know I made the right decision. As a senior and I had not eaten, they offered me a ride to the nearest diner so that I could eat while I waited for the work on my 'scooter' Venue. Shady Salesman! I am being harassed a year later because they traded in my car that was in my DADS NAME AND never got a permission to trade so now after realizing their mistake they decided to harass me. They even tried to scare me with an email from a “lawyer” after THEIR mistake and NEVER compensated me AFTER selling me a lemon THEY KNEW ABOUT and keeping my NEW car in the shop for over 3 weeks with no communication. RUN RUN AND RUN. The managers/ ASSOCIATES BRANDON, ELLIOT, EDDIE, AND CHRIS, ROSE ETC ARE SHADY!! They also won’t put me in contact with the owner of the dealership like they are scared or something. Maybe because they illegally traded a car that they didn’t have permission too. Hmm. Shady business. Do not go here!!!!!!!!!! If you choose to buy a Hyundai keep in mind there is no one that will be able to help you if something goes wrong! They care about money more so they will sell you a lemon they knew about, you won’t get compensated for ANYTHING! The dealership failed to escalate my issue and Hyundai “consumer affairs” was no help! Please please be careful. They totally ruined my first car buying experience!! READ REVIEWS! Made an appointment with Tony at the service repair at Hyundai in College Park MD. Although, I've been coming here way over 10 years now and although new faces am still satisfied with my service. Tony took excellent care of my vehicle, kept me updated on what was needed and was totally understanding of my wants. Although, I needed much needed major repairs. I left there again with a smile on my face and a very happy customer. I wanted to wait after a few weeks before I do a review to make sure that the vehicle was in top notch but I felt the difference once I drove off because it felt like I was floating on air. Thanks Tony, go see Tony he's the man!! Am still a fan of this dealership after all these years!! Superior Customer Services is always given here. Come here you won't regret it. More

Adding one more star now. ———————— Worst car dealership that straight up lie to our face and said if we sign the lease we will have 3 years of complimentary maintenance service. And now said we don’t have it because it’s not for car model 2019. But we signed the lease at 2020 and we were confused that day. The reason we are confused because we were just scheduling for a test drive that day and they pressured us, wouldn’t let us leave until we signed a lease with them. We tried to leave 3 times and they chased after us. And we were so exhausted and tired and signed a lease with them at 11:00pm that night. It was a horrific experience, I felt pressured to sign or we can’t go home. We are happy with our car in general until we need maintenance after 1.5 years. All after all, they are unethical, dishonest, and horrible car dealership. Don’t walk in or they won’t let you leave! More
