As far as the financing dept. goes, just remember to be firm with your "no thanks" if you do not want the optional items such as extended warranty, gap insurance, etc. Like all car dealerships, they will try and convince you that it is a necessity. I was extremely pleased with my experience at Coggin Toyota. The two sales people (Rocky& Greg) plus the finance manager, Will, whom I interfaced with were highly professional, efficient, and worked har Toyota. These folks were low key with no high pressure tactics and had respect for a buyer who has done his homework ( this is not true for all dealerships).They clearly take pride in their work. The entire deal for a new 2010 Highlander was negotiated over the phone. Coggin is a no frills dealership based on integrity and honesty. I would venture to say that the management skills and leadership of the sales manager Greg are directly responsible for the smooth operation at this dealership. My wife and I traveled 360 miles R/T to pick up our new car and passed by several dealerships closer to home. The buying experience with them made the trip more than worthwhile. More
My experience at Coggin was the best I have ever had at any dealership, bar none. Gary Marsh was incredible to work with. I submitted emails to 2-3 other dealerships in the area, and Gary was the only guy any dealership, bar none. Gary Marsh was incredible to work with. He was always available, and I felt like he was on my side in trying to get me the right car at the right price. His customer service was impeccable and he treated me with respect and honesty. In addition, the finance guys were awesome as well, Steve and Kip I believe. The entire experience was awesome and I will recpmmend them to anyone. My experience was pretty good and the car (2004 Toyota Solara, 72500 miles on it) was in excellent condition. But I would have liked it better if i had got a good price. The suggested KBB CPO was 12500 but I paid 13991 that is $1500 above KBB (excluding dealer fees, tag etc). If the price (excluding dealer fee etc) was about a few hundred dollars over KBB it would have been ok considering the condition of the car but personally $1500 over KBB I think is overpriced. I bought the car because I liked it and don't like to haggle over price, anybody else would probably have not taken the car (at least not at that price). A thorough detailing and washing of car should have been done during certification (which was done after the purchase). The headlights had grime on them and there was dirt on the driver side of the floor. Service was good and people were friendly too which is good... More
I stopped at Coggins on my way back from an errand as my lease was running out on my 2007 Prius. I met Gary Marsh for the first time and from that moment on, I knew that chance meeting was meant to be and lease was running out on my 2007 Prius. I met Gary Marsh for the first time and from that moment on, I knew that chance meeting was meant to be and that I would be buying a new Prius from this very nice man. We hit it off from the beginning, although, given Gary's marvelous personality, I can imagine he gets on well with all his customers. My experience with Gary was perfect and my wife and I walked out of the dealership with a new Prius, which we love. I look forward to working with Gary int he years to com and recommending him to friends. More
Good cop-bad cop selling approach. Hard to believe they couldn't get anyone to loan us the money and yet now (when I know our credit is not as good) we qualify for 0% financing? Watch them!!!!!!! Only rich people must buy there and do their commercials. Guess it takes lots of money to pay Charlene Shirk to do their TV ads. Arlington Toytota much nicer and honest to do business with. They couldn't deal with the overcharge from Coggin though. Ladies/everyone: go to Key Hyundai and ask for Morgan Perry. Coggin deserves to go put of business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
