We went to buy a new Rav 4 but they did not have one on the lot . They showed us a 2020 model with 9k miles on it and leather interior it was nicer than the new one I was going to buy and the price was bet the lot . Nice guy helping but clearly too busy and not enough people to help him. 3 hour.rs to be told car needed 1400 part for side view mirror hook up to alarm system. Got in at 11 apt. Mark the finance manger actually added in $3900 for gap insurance and an extended warranty, no once did we discuss either one , if I wanted then or how mush they cost. I’m a certified automotive tech / me insurance and an extended warranty, no once did we discuss either one , if I wanted then or how mush they cost. I’m a certified automotive tech / mechanic and I would never want gap or an extended warranty. Before leaving the lot after a long day I went back to fissure out exactly what was on my contract again. With Mark and sales rep Robert both in the room I asked for the break down and they both kept saying it’s taxes and fees. And said they can’t give me a the breakdown because of jo Morgan chase loans don’t have that. Which was all a lie , then I saw a little line about $995 for gap insurance, (which was never discussed) I had mark cancel that but when I got hike that night I went through the numbers again and found there was still around $2900 dollars unaccounted for in the pricing and paperwork he gave me. The lapsed work that would show this was not ok the packet mark gave me. So The next morning I drove the 2 HOUR DRIVE back to Coggin Toyota to find out what it was I spoke with Robert the sales rep he was very helpful at this point. He came out of Marks office after about 30 min of waiting with a paper to cancel the gap insurance for$995 and some kind of extended warranty for $2900 !!!!! I never wanted either and never was asked if I wanted. And the paper showing these extras was never gone to me !!! I know these guys make lots of extra honors money off selling these extras to customers, but this was the one of shadiest unethical moves is ever seen a car dealership do. They gave me a paper saying both were canceled off my contract. But It’s been a week and I haven’t received any paperwork from the lender or dealer.
