You can't trust these guys as far as you could throw them. First visit was for a used van advertised on AutoTrader. After verifying the van was still in stock, I made a long drive to the dealership to s them. First visit was for a used van advertised on AutoTrader. After verifying the van was still in stock, I made a long drive to the dealership to see it. After arriving the salesman took me to the van to view it. He left for a few minutes to come back and tell me they would need to do service work, etc, to the vehicle before they could sell it to me, and it would be $2000 more after their service department had finished with it. I said I didn't want the work done, I would have it done myself. I wanted to buy it for what it was advertised for. He says, sorry, but they would have to send it through the service department first. Needless to say, I was not happy. Swore, I would never do back. A year later I happen to see another van advertised and decide to pass by just to look. I had already done a CarFax and knew the van was wrecked in the front with moderate damage. The salesman says the van is in great condition and has been through their inspection process. I found numerous flaws in the body work, rust starting to form in places, bad paint, etc. Upon cranking the engine, it starts making a noise. So we drive it to the service dept and they say its a bad tensioner possibly. How did that get by their "inspection"? Anyway it was a mess and they couldn't tell me if the frame was ok since there were marks on the bolts that are used to straighten the frame at the shop. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Even if it's a new car. Have it inspected by an independent service that does vehicle inspections. MAKE SURE the service is ASE certified. Very important. More
I shopped around a lot of Toyota dealers for a 2006 Tundra Double Cab. My wife met Jared, a sales rep, who took his time working with her while I was out of town and was great to her and answered every Tundra Double Cab. My wife met Jared, a sales rep, who took his time working with her while I was out of town and was great to her and answered every single question. I went down on a a Saturday and met Jared, and test drove the Tacoman and the Tundra. He was very knowledgeable about the trucks and could answer every question. They have a deal going on through the end of the month which is a $4,000 rebate. The Tundra I liked was listed at $27,000, and he was giving me a final price of $20,489. Very nice. I went home and tried to do my own online financing with an internet company because my credit isn't the best and I just knew I wouldn't be able to get financed through the dealership. I got approved at RoadLoans (which you DO NOT want to use as I'll explain in a moment) and had my check ready to go. I called Jared, told him I was ready to buy, and he got the truck ready, and had the bed liner installed as I was driving down from Cartersville. Buying was quick and easy. They already had a lot of the paperwork filled out for me to sign, and it was the easiest car purchase I have ever gone through. Everyone was friendly and put up with a bored 7 year old and two year old running around, which shows me a lot about their people! I did find out that they do not accept RoadLoans or most other on-line financing for bad credit. They explained how it takes forever to get paid, and they are mostly companies you want to steer clear of unless you want to get taken. I found out most dealers in the area also do not take them, so just an FYI. I thought I was screwed, but a nice Business manager who turns out to be from Cartersville said "Let me try to get you financed", and after about 20 minutes, he did! And at a 2% better interest rate with a real bank! He was great! I haven't worked with the service department as some of the other posters have, so I can't comment on that aspect yet, but so far, they have been the best dealership I have ever worked with in my car buying life. I highly recommend them and especially Jared. He is a great and low pressure salesperson. Rich More
I brought in my six week old Toyota Tundra Double Cab today, July 6, 2006 because my secondary remote was not working and had rust and corrosion through it. I was told by the assistant service manager R today, July 6, 2006 because my secondary remote was not working and had rust and corrosion through it. I was told by the assistant service manager Russell Graff and the general sales manager that I must have jumped in a pool or something with it. When I argued that I never even used it, I was told that remotes aren't part of the bumper to bumper warranty. When I got upset, I was told to leave. Basically, I just spent 25 grand and six weeks later was told I was a liar and to get out. Great customer service. More
