I purchased this car at a dealership in New York before moving and retiring to North Carolina and I can only say my experience back home was less than ideal to say the least. Very disapointed I took my 2013 Ford CMax in for a tune up. When I was dropping my car off, the service associate asked if I wanted my spark plugs changed out. I agree I took my 2013 Ford CMax in for a tune up. When I was dropping my car off, the service associate asked if I wanted my spark plugs changed out. I agreed. When my husband picked up my car, he was given the service receipt. I knew the cost was going to be around $400.00. However, what was not made clear to me was the cost of the parts and labor. To change out 4 plugs it was $200.00. I was gobsmacked! When I called back to speak to the person, I asked him if the cost was correct and he assured me that it was. My husband had also asked the same thing when he picked up the car. I was told that the plugs are expensive. However, not $25.00 a piece expensive! I looked up the part number on my invoice and then checked online for the cost. They run about $8.00 a piece. When I told the gentleman this, he asked me if I was looking at the correct part. I assured him that I was. This is totally ridiculous! I understand that they are running a business and have to pay for things. However, I feel that this is price gouging. And the "tune up" consisted nothing more than a fluid change. The gentleman said that he would credit me the difference between what I had found and what they charged me. So I got a credit of $68.00. I feel like I had the word "stupid" written across my forehead when I walked in. I will NEVER EVER again take my car there. Worst experience ever! If you do get work done here, be sure to ask for an itemized list of costs before you walk out the door. Had I done this, I would have opted for some place else. Please understand that my service tech was only going with what he was given. He was fine. More
