Extremely disappointing experience with Claremont Toyota. DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE. I purchased a used 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT from Claremont Toyota in July 2025. Within 4 months, the vehicle developed DO NOT BUY A USED CAR HERE. I purchased a used 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT from Claremont Toyota in July 2025. Within 4 months, the vehicle developed serious issues and eventually broke down. I brought it back to the dealership in October 2025, and the vehicle remained there for approximately 10 months before I finally received it back in September 2026. After waiting 10 months, the car was returned to me dirty inside and out. Worse, on the second day after getting it back, my driver's-side window became stuck open. I was told the window motor needed to be replaced, but the dealership refused to take responsibility and is charging me approximately $500; 50% of what they quoted the work to be for the repair. Why should I be responsible for any charges when I did not get my car back the way I gave it to them? Throughout this entire ordeal, I repeatedly tried to reach management for help and felt ignored and passed from one person to another. The General Manager, Steve Saad, never personally reached out to address my concerns despite me leaving voicemails; yet the dealership had no problem contacting me to purchase another vehicle or leave a review. I purchased a used vehicle because a new one was not financially feasible for me. I expected to be treated fairly and respectfully regardless of what I could afford. Instead, this experience has left me feeling extremely disappointed, disrespected, and let down not only as a consumer but a woman trusting a male dominated business. I sincerely hope Claremont Toyota takes customer concerns more seriously and provides better accountability and communication to future customers. Consumers, proceed with caution. More
