However, it was the complete opposite; both Eric and Joe let me set the pace/progress of the whole day (test drive and eventually purchasing)! They patiently explained everything to me in full (sometimes multiple times), gave me their thoughts, but ultimately let me come to a decision that I felt was best for me! More

They clearly pulled a bait and switch. - went to look at a used car - test drove the car on a Saturday, had a good experience - on Monday morning I receive a follow-up call one of those "let me know if you have further questions" - I make an offer on the car via email - Later I receive a response back saying the price I saw was low because they were "running a weekend special and prices were reduced for that event." - A "weekend special" was never discussed at the dealership and they counter offered by raising the price almost $1,000 on the car! - Nevertheless, I counter offer higher via email - one day goes by - no word. I email them to see if they received my offer - The salesman says he was gone (note he did not set an Out of Office email). It became clear we were too far apart and I walked away. We couldn't see eye to eye - that's fine and it happens. What's upsetting to me is the bait and switch of the lower original price citing a "weekend special" after the fact. They were clearly trying to use an anchor of a higher not "weekend special" price to start negotiations. In addition, the lack of responsiveness was something I've never experienced at a car dealership. I had some friends in the market for a VW and I will tell them to avoid this dealership. More
