I have nothing but great things to say about the people at The Autobarn in Evanston. I was referred by a friend of mine to change my maintenance from Jennings VW to The Autobarn in Evanston, since I live e at The Autobarn in Evanston. The quality of work and the service definitely exceeded my expectations. They replaced a bulb for FREE and my car was returned to me super clean. My interactions with staff has been wonderful (go see Richard Kirkpatrick-seriously, I'm demanding you!). I feel like they care about me as a customer, not just a sale. I work in a retail environment where customer service is considered the most important thing, so I seek out great customer service, and am rather unforgiving for bad service. They offer something called DriveSure, which is a fantastic maintenance program, which pays for itself in the long run. I know eventually I will want to buy a new VW, and when I do, I will purchase it from the Autobarn in Evanston. More
I had been coming to the Autobarn for maintenance on my current VW lease for some time and when I decided it was time for an upgrade I knew where to go. He even stayed late until everything was set to go. I would highly recommend him for any purchases and will definitely be returning to him when it is time for my next lease. Coming from someone who is not too easy to please Bojan was more than patient in handling my purchase. He also knows his VW’s and appreciates the investment a customer makes in purchasing or leasing a new vehicle, I felt no pressure to make a rash decision. More

I was a student from Champaign, IL area and I know very little about buying a used car before I came to The Autobarn. But Bojan was very nice to me and explained everything to me step by step. I was there at almost 9pm, which is usually their closing time. But Jay and Bojan were very patient and tried to satisfy every of my request. What's more, The Autobarn has very sufficient car resources. I am looking at a VW CC. what surprised me is that they have over 10 CC in their inventory. They also gave me very fair price. So if you want to purchase a VW, I strongly recommend you to go to The Autobarn. More
Im coming from the west suburbs to buy a car that cost over $45,000 and im 30min late for my 9am appointment. Im 26yrs old with a pre approved offer from my bank for $40k at a 6% rate and i have 5, 000 in over $45,000 and im 30min late for my 9am appointment. BJ gets an attitude with me over the phone about how this is his off day and he's not waiting any more when i tell him ill be there in 10min. BJ also informs me he lives 10min away from the dealership. I told Brian im coming for the 2012 Audi A6 2.0T not him and he can refer me to another sales associate. 2nd thing that went wrong. You have to pay for parking, so i go to the cashier and ask for change for a $5 seeing how they dont take credit cards. And this lady got an attitude with me and says she dont have it and she will personally get it out her purse. which she had over $10 in coins..??? so after 10min of waiting i pay for parking 3rd thing the sales associate Manny He had a great attitude and was the only good thijng from these dealership. he tried his best but he didnt seem to kno anything about an Audi, and he says he owns an A4 .. 4th OVERALLL BADDDDD thing is. The car was missed priced by $7,000. the internet price said $41K and the sticker said $48k. I informed manny and he said his manger is changing the price as we speak to the correct price. i told him i can sue you for false advertisement if i wanted to. he said they will work on the price to negoiate. when we was at the table to make the deal they only came down $500 and said it was too much for them to lose if they come down any more because they bought the car for $46k. i understand a mistake was made but i was seeing how much are they willing to compromise with me and show that there sorry. which they failed the test. 5th is some Shady Sales Manger named Jay come in with a bad offer at 18% on a car that now cost $56K and wants me to use a co signer. and making very bad jokes. i told him my car got totaled he said did i ounch the lady in the face? i said why would i don that and go to jail, he said your right, i use to be a cop in the suburbs. 6th i smell xx so i leave and the manny call my phone 5MINUTES later saying i dont need a co singer because he found a different sales manger to approve me for the full amount. I could of asked my bank for more but i didnt get a good experience from this dealership and i was ready to go so i said no thank you 7th when the car which was priced at $41k on the internet which cost $48k and after taxes, and fees cost $56,000. they were trying to sell me i inform them i already went to Audi Westmont and the sales associate there found the the exact car i was looking for 2012 Audi A6 Premuim Plus priced at $40K and he willing to negotiate the price and take some off. I went to Audi and paid $40k for the car, $5k for taxes, IL fee's and he took off almost $900. This is not to bad mouth this dealership but to inform consumer of the type of quality of work they gave this day. This is not my first car and al the cars i bought were never more then 1year and and i never seen this type of poor quality from a professional dealership. xxxxxxis Manny was a good salesman Con: Jay, Overall experiences and BJ More
