"surveys are meant to hurt people...not help them" ?!? First off, so far so good. I'm happy with the vehicle and the response to the minor service issue discovered right away. That said - I was overall disappointed in the typical auto sales game that I think all consumers are getting tired of putting up with. I came in with a good idea of what I wanted to purchase, pay and receive for my trade. From the start there was a steady stream of misinformation and what I interpreted as subterfuge . First I was told the online price was the "cash price"...then that changed to the "finance price". Then that price was suddenly one thousand more than the online price...which when reminded was corrected. When I asked about the VW First Responder discount, I was told that was already applied...which it was not, and subsequently adjusted. When I decided to think it over and look around a bit (not satisfied with the trade in offer) I was met with the usual "you're going to regret it" attitude. Another dealer did offer a better price on the vehicle and trade, and I Evanston honored it - done deal and I appreciated the efforts of all. From there the only thing I could have done without was the hard sell of the warranty upgrades at closing. This was a pretty clear attempt to rack up some extra dough from the customer on the way out by tacking it into the financing. "It's only an extra 3 or 4 dollars per month" I was told... C'mon...this is just predatory and in truth winds up costing the customer way more than the $1300 or so these upgrades cost. Especially when financing at 3-4%... caveat emptor. Finally, I wouldn't have bothered to write this if the salesperson hadn't have left me a voicemail asking me to "please give him all tens and yeses...because anything less is an atomic failure" and that "these surveys are meant to hurt people...not help them". Wow...begging for a good review and discrediting the customer feedback process...that's pretty pathetic, guys. I was also disappointed because my car was in the shop twice and still no follow up as to why the radio kept shutting off on its own. I brought the car in initially for an oil change among other things and they didn't even reset the oil change notification on the dash, additionally the wrong sticker was put on the top left corner for a next oil change reminder. I will not pass judgment Maybe everyone just had a bad day. I will give the service center one more chance before I start taking my vehicle elsewhere. More

We had to call over a week ago to find out that the parts weren't available. Originally, we were told that someone would call us in 2 days from when we dropped off the car, but a whole week went by without a call so we had to call the service department. Still waiting for the parts to come in... After visiting the dealer in person to check on the status of the parts order, we found that the parts were actually received by the dealership. We made an appointment for the next morning and our vehicle was repaired. We appreciate the service department making up for our inconvenience. More
