I was in desperate need of a car after graduating college. I was also very nervous about the process of purchasing a car. Autobarn was the first place I stopped to look. After speaking with Javier, he made sure the process was as simple and enjoyable as possible. He also was very accomodating and pleasant to be around. Javier is definitely an individual who will go above and beyond for a customer and I was impressed with his genuine personality. Sassan was also very professional and willing to work with me on getting the car the best suited my needs and wants. The duo was able to find the car in the exact color I was looking for and they also stayed within my price range. Ordering and taking delivery of my vehicle went really smoothly, but that was two months ago now and things took a turn for the Original Post: 12/15. Ordering and taking delivery of my vehicle went really smoothly, but that was two months ago now and things took a turn for the worse. Fast forward to today and the "deposit" they made me pay to order the vehicle has not been refunded and most of the sales people and managers I dealt with have quit and/or stopped returning my calls. Every time I reach someone they give me the answer of "it'll be there later this week" or "we're waiting for the end of the month for the books" that was two weeks ago now and still no refund. I have brought this to the attention of Volkswagen of America who is investigating on my behalf. I should be able to charge them interest on what they owe me, they've been holding my money for close to 4 months now. UPDATE 12/16. Since I posted this they contacted me and are working to get me a check overnighted, but they claimed innocence in not knowing who I am and why I was owed money until they looked into it. This issue has been brought to their attention and the people involved were just not doing their job to expedite what I thought would be a serious issue. It took posting here for urgency to be added to the situation, and that's pretty sad and I thusly will not be adjusting my review scores here. More
