Pathetic after sales service from Autobarn City Volkswagen. I and my husband purchased a subaru STI from this dealership. We were talked to buy all the additional warranties provided with the vehic Volkswagen. I and my husband purchased a subaru STI from this dealership. We were talked to buy all the additional warranties provided with the vehicle. But after going home and doing the calculations on interest it was found that adding the extra options were not worthy. We contacted the dealership the very next day to have the warranty cancelled. We were told it has been taken care of and it will take 6 weeks for this to get reflected in the loan account.It has been been more than 2 months and this never happened. The warranty is said to be cancelled but I dont know where the money went. I end up with no idea where the money is and is paying the interest for warranty amount. We are going to lodge a complaint in BBB. More

Alex knows his business. he knows the vehicles and he was extremely professional, courteous and sincere. My husband and i came to the store based on a Costco recomendation. Alex called us and we came in and found this young man to be the epitomy of customer service. He was attentive and extremely knowlegeable about the vehicle and my husnband, a car enthusiast and Volkswagon CC "lover/expert" was very impressed. We live on the other side of the sity and made our way to this store. We have had a great experience and I am certain we will not only continue to do business with Alex, but we will refer all of our friends and family to him. Alex paved the way and all of the other staff follwed suit with great service. Kyle and Jack were also great! More
I just came over from Europe and had no social security number and hence no credit or credit history. So I had to take everything I just got as salary from my company so far. I visited some other dealers already, but they had no car offerings for the money I had in my pocket and without credit option nobody saw a chance. I came to Autobarn and Randy Gibson showed me one car that was available for the price I could afford. Right in the moment as we wanted to start for a test drive, it turned out that this car was already sold. Randy searched a long time for another car in that price range, but couldn't find any. So, he finally selected one for a higher price and offered it to me for the money I had, including tax an car insurance! Of course, it was an older car and probably needs some service, but well, it gets me from A to B. That's all I've expected. After a test drive I was happy. All this took a little bit longer and Randy brought me Pizza and something to drink while he was taking care of all the paperwork. Finally, he even arranged all the paperwork for the car insurance. After 4 hours everything was ready for me to drive with an own car. I really appreciate all the time and patience Randy had with me and my special problems and he finally found a solution for everything. He might not have made his biggest deal that day, but he receives my strongest recommendation for all the lovely details I received from him. Allen Horvath and his manager helped me a lot to work out financing for the car I want to purchase. Also, they explained all detail including the car I used to have. It was very disappointment how Toyota did to me. Yet, Allen Horvath showed me and explained about the car accident history and that's the reason value of car goes down. In fact, I have to pay more on the car. All shopping experience at this dealer was very satisfy. More
It took a couple of tries to find a good salesperson, but once we did the process was very easy. I talked to the sales manager, Jack and explained what we needed to accomplish- getting a lot of the details f once we did the process was very easy. Recently the autobarn dealer has been getting some very awesome cars in like the Lancer Evolutions and Subaru Sti's. Ive been in the market for a while for one so I just had to call in and buy one. I was g awesome cars in like the Lancer Evolutions and Subaru Sti's. Ive been in the market for a while for one so I just had to call in and buy one. I was greeted by Roman, who seemed to know ALOT about every one of the evo or sti's in stock. All of them looked great, and the two I drove seemed like the past owners took care of the cars. I settled on an EVO, we agreed to the price, and that was it. No fees, no extra hidden costs nothing. Im still driving the car today with no problems. More

* Purchased low mileage, warrantied BMW M3, traded in BMW 335 in good condition. * After 30 minutes of negotiating and a test drive, they demanded my credit card as collateral to keep moving forward. At that time I should have walked out. * Sales staff / management provided me a carfax history report indicating it had been in a relatively small accident. * Sales staff / management assured me that the car had been certified by their mechanics and was in like-new condition. A visual inspection and test drive gave me no evidence of hidden damage. * I was an out of town customer, and wanted to return to have the car checked out by an independent BMW mechanic. * Again, I was assured the vehicle was in excellent condition. * Finance manager charged me a very low fee for my license plates, which I raised the issue right away but he said his figures were correct. * One week after the purchase, the finance manager called me and demanded about $500 more to cover the cost of the license plates. He told me he would not send my license plates unless I paid the money. Keep in mind I had a signed, legal document stating the transaction was complete. By law, I owed them nothing. However, I sent in the money as I consider myself an honest person. I did not receive my license plates for TWO months (even though they charge $50 for 'expedited' delivery). I was driving with expired temporary tags for many days. * Upon my first oil change, my local, trusted BMW dealer indicated that the vehicle had hidden damage near the fender. Although it worked, the headlight was simply sitting in place and not fastened to the car itself. Also, the oil line running to the engine was pinched. Cost of the repairs was $2000. * I tried reaching the Autobarn (everyone from my salesman to the general manager) and no one would return my phone calls. * I engaged the Better Business Bureau and the Illinois Attorney General for assistance. * The BBB provided not much help, but the Attorney General got their attention. * The Autobarn did not stand by the product they sold me. It was obvious that they knew the car was damaged and did not want me to get the car checked out by my mechanic. They lied profusely about the condition of the car and guaranteed it was in perfect condition. * In their response to the Attorney General, they said they "gladly welcome anyone to have cars checked out at an off-site mechanic." That is precisely what didn't happen - it was highly discouraged. They also claimed that I was "ignorant" about the purchase. (their own words). I would absolutely stay away from this place!!! It is full of lying crooks from the salesman to the dealer principal. I've never been treated with such disrespect, especially after purchasing a very expensive vehicle and sending them the additional $500 for my license plates. Dealing with these guys was an absolute nightmare the minute I drove the car off the lot. More
I am writing this review to just warn people about this cheap, full of lies dealer. I was looking for an upgrade to my car and unfortunately the car i was looking was available at this place. After purchasing $ 40K car from them, company started showing their true colors. First the finance guy Al Hassan he showed his true colors, he showed his colors, he was quoting me very high interest rate, after negotiating brought it down significantly, and i told him ill shop around for lower interest and wait for before locking me in, which he said he will wait. I found lower interest rate and when i got back to this finance guy, his answer was i sent those paper without even my permission, and i called bank where Mr Hasan sent the papers, and bank told me they never received papers and it took more than a month for the bank to receive papers. I had to refinance my loan to lock into lower rate. Then this company never paid my bank full trade in amount, and had to call them repeatedly to get my money back. This dealer also sells a protection plan for lost key, dent removal, tire protection which looks very helpful but i strongly recommend not to get it, because this company never backs up what they offer. I requested second key for replacing lost key they told me i have to go Audi, pay from my pocket. Then i had dent on my car, which i thought i will get it removed from this dealer as they claim it is included in protection plan, result I have been calling them for last ten days, every day i hear the guy who does the job is not their guy, he is coming today, tomorrow. I am really disappointed with this dealer, I wasted a good amount of money and the frustration of dealing with them is unaccountable. I don't recommend this at all. Don't waste your money and time with dealer. More
