I was in desperate need of a car after graduating college. I was also very nervous about the process of purchasing a car. Autobarn was the first place I stopped to look. After speaking with Javier, he made sure the process was as simple and enjoyable as possible. He also was very accomodating and pleasant to be around. Javier is definitely an individual who will go above and beyond for a customer and I was impressed with his genuine personality. Sassan was also very professional and willing to work with me on getting the car the best suited my needs and wants. The duo was able to find the car in the exact color I was looking for and they also stayed within my price range. I ended up purchasing the car the next day followed up by a great hug and congratulations from Javier. I have also been very impressed with the after sale follow up and how helpful Javier and Sassan have been. I will definitely reccomend the Autobarn to others because of these two individuals and their phenomonal customer service. They exceeded my expectations. More

I didn't make a decision in one day and I had trouble making my mind up about what I wanted exactly. When I did decide on what I wanted and we started the paperwork they kept me comfortable, offering me coffee, water, and pizza! Fast forward to today and the "deposit" they made me pay to order the vehicle has not been refunded and most of the sales people and managers I dealt with have quit and/or stopped returning my calls. Every time I reach someone they give me the answer of "it'll be there later this week" or "we're waiting for the end of the month for the books" that was two weeks ago now and still no refund. I have brought this to the attention of Volkswagen of America who is investigating on my behalf. I should be able to charge them interest on what they owe me, they've been holding my money for close to 4 months now. UPDATE 12/16. Since I posted this they contacted me and are working to get me a check overnighted, but they claimed innocence in not knowing who I am and why I was owed money until they looked into it. This issue has been brought to their attention and the people involved were just not doing their job to expedite what I thought would be a serious issue. It took posting here for urgency to be added to the situation, and that's pretty sad and I thusly will not be adjusting my review scores here. More
I came in just to look around, never expected that i would have been walking out with a brand new jetta GLI. 4 stars for a dealer you say? well ... it's because we got a great deal on 12 jetta tdi :) BUT, it was NOT easy (5 hours of negotiations, financing & signatures). YOU as a buyer, need to do research (t got a great deal on 12 jetta tdi :) BUT, it was NOT easy (5 hours of negotiations, financing & signatures). YOU as a buyer, need to do research (truecar cardirect) & find out how much dealer is paying for the car with options you want ... then negotiate DOWN from there and if you're persistent and pay attention to the PRICE of the car (not monthly payments), you too can get your VW under invoice :) - via graciously inflated trade-in ($Ks over KBB), in our case kudos to let us loan a Diesel for 1/2 day before we bought it (smart move Jay :). we really were set on cheaper SE gas engine, but now we'll be saving $75 in gas cost every month, thanks to 40mpg of TDI ... which btw has a great pickup, thanks to the 290 lb of torque. in the end we pretty much got diesel $500 over what SE would cost (invoice & good luck on getting that deal if it's not the end of the year :) also special thanks to Natalia. she really went our of her way to entertain & accommodate our 4 year old ... Polish soup, snacks, milk ... serdecznie dziekujemy! autobarn's new cars also come with car wash for life, interior assurance (3 yrs?). VW currently offers free maintenance, except for breaks. even loaners we are happy with our purchase & good luck to you More

Bought my vehicle here as you can see from my post last month. Well... The initial purchase was great. Everyone was more than happy to work with me. After the sale however is COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE!!! Hor month. Well... The initial purchase was great. Everyone was more than happy to work with me. After the sale however is COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE!!! Horrible service. Started with a warranty door sal and two keys. Both negotiated into the sale. They "ordered" the seal the same day I boiught it (so they said) And had to search the dealership for the keys. I was assured I would be contacted the next day. I had to call them 2 days later. Then they informed me they couldnt find them so they ordered them and they would call me as soon as the seal and keys came in. One and a half weeks later no call. So once again I called. They assured me the seal and keys were indeed in. So I drove two hours and fifteen minuites and when I arrived they informed me they ordered the wrong seal and the keys were never ordered. So once again they tell me they will call me when every thing comes in. Aweek later I call again. They told me everything had come in 3 days prior. So here we are again.. Promiced phone calls and no follow through!! Sorry Really upset about it. A few days ago my TPMS light came on so I had NTB fill the low tire. They informed me I needed new tires! 1000 miles after purchase and I need new tires?! This was a CPO vehicle as well with 26,000 miles. I measured them myself with my tread depth gauge and they showed between 4 and 5 thousandths of an inch. When I called the dealer they said that I had to be wrong and that when the vehicle left it had 7 thousandths of an inch. This scares me because either A, Their Technicians cannot read.. Or B they just eye balled the tread depth to hurry through the inspection. Both of which scare me because what else did they skip over in the inspection process. Well I am done ranting a raving because this is probably falling upon deff ears anyway. Hope this helps someone. Remember its not just the initial sale that matters. Look at EVERYTHING. If I had know I woud not have bought this car from them. I would have gone to Orland Park VW. Rich Muinez is amazing. He helped me early in my buying process and he is GREAT!!! More

From the onset, the entire experience was enjoyable. I made the appointment for a test drive with Natalia. As I was on my way I received a call from the sales manager. He explained who he was and that he made the appointment for a test drive with Natalia. As I was on my way I received a call from the sales manager. He explained who he was and that he would be there if I needed further assistance. I have never had anyone associated with a car dealership do that before. I was impressed. Natalia was a patient and easy going, not pushy like some car dealers we all know. Throughout the deal Natalia's attitude remained the same, pleasant. After I purchased the vehicle Natalia showed me around the dealership introducing me to everyone. Again, I never had this happen before. I was impressed by the cleanliness and efficiency of this dealership. I would definitely recommend this dealership to family and friends. More

It took a little time, but they came up with touch up paint pens for small dings and other info on the car's features and extras that the previous owner had factory-loaded and, buying it used, we would not otherwise have known about. Service department was particularly impressive. We would not hesitate to buy our next car (cars) from them. More
