My husband and I made our first Volkswagen Atlas purchase. The staff was very polite and friendly. Ryan Lundahl went above and beyond. They did not have the color I really liked and he made it happen! Thank you so much Ryan for a great customer service. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions or concerns my husband and I had. He made the process of buying our new car as simple as possible. Also, thank you to Mark Benne in finance. They were super busy that night and Mark very patiently went step by step through everything. Highly recommend this dealer. More

Customers Beware! I purchased a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) 2013 Passat TDI from this dealership in February and my experience with this dealership has been very unsatisf I purchased a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) 2013 Passat TDI from this dealership in February and my experience with this dealership has been very unsatisfactory. To start I inquired about a certain car on saturday 2/1 and said that I would be flying from Atlanta to purchase the vehicle on Monday 2/3. When I arrived at the dealership the salesman Alex, told me that the vehicle had just been sold about an hour before I had arrived. This was a little frustrating given that I had spoken with them on Saturday and was told that if I filled out a credit application that they would be able to get the process started and could hold the vehicle. I should have walked out of the dealership at that moment but since I was well over 800 miles from home I decided to look at their other inventory. We then test drove about 5 other cars all of which were dirty and even some had cosmetic damage like a broken fog light on one. I also cut my finger on the push start button in one of the vehicles. When I asked if they would fix any of the damages on the vehicles, I was told no. These were all Certified Pre Owned Vehicles which had been inspected and passed. The test drives were only about 2 miles and you could only go 45mph (This is important later) . When I finally found a vehicle that I liked, it was being used as a demo vehicle for one of the managers and has stuff inside like car seats and Juuls pods. It also had a somewhat heavy smoke odor inside but Alex told me that the detail department would be able to get rid of the odor no problem. They take the car to get detailed and I go to sign the paperwork. After we do a final walk around of the vehicle and I find the license plate in the rear is missing a bolt and hanging down along with paint damage on the hood after that washed the car. I tell Alex about both of these issues and he kinda shrugs it off. Now I understand there isn't much that can be done about the paint damage on the hood but the fact that he wouldn’t go get a bolt for my license plate was unprofessional given that i had just purchased the vehicle. I left to head to a family members house for the night. The next day I was traveling back to Atlanta and about 200 miles into my trip the check engine light illuminates along with an Adblue error popping up in the cluster saying that the vehicle won't start in 200 miles. I still have 600 miles to go before I am home. I immediately call the dealership and after Alex consults with a technician he tells me that I will have to bring it to a vw dealership to find out the problem. It was very frustrating that within less than 24 hours It's already having issues. I managed to make it back to Atlanta (Just Barely) and immediately had to drop it off at a Volkswagen dealership that night and not have a vehicle for the following day. During my drive back to Atlanta I also noticed that there is a horrible brake pulsation when braking from highway speeds and that I don't have any A/C. So I have the dealership here in Atlanta look at those concerns as well because the car was inspected and is a Certified Pre-owned Vehicle. When I got my vehicle I had a repair estimate for about $1,500 for pads and rotors and an A/C recharge as none of that was covered under warranty. I think it's ridiculous that I had the car for less than 3 days and I already have an estimate for $1,500 for a car I just purchased. I noticed the fragrance they sprayed had worn off and now it smells like smoke again. I called the dealership back and spoke to Alex about those issues and he said he would talk to the manager and the Detail Department. I later got a phone call from one of the sales manager's who heard my concerns about the brakes and the A/C . He begins to interrupt me and in a rather unprofessional manner basically says that because the vehicle passed all their inspections that there's nothing they will do and that it's normal for me to need work because that's how dealerships make their money in the service department. I think that it is extremely unprofessional to tell someone who less than 72 hours ago purchased a Certified Pre-owned vehicle from your dealership that it is normal to need work because that's how the dealership makes money. I also think these problems should have been noticed by the manager who was using this car as a demo vehicle and that they have not been smoking inside the vehicle. Alex also on multiple occasions never returned phone calls or emails when I would reach out to him. Now I am a huge VW fan and have owned 2 previous Volkswagens and I always recommend them to my friend's and family. Both of my previous volkswagens were used and had some issues during ownership so I figured by buying a Certified Pre-owned Volkswagen that it would be thoroughly inspected and that I wouldn’t have any issues for a good while. In the month and a half that I have owned this vehicle, it has been at the dealership for warranty work 5 TIMES, each time the car being there for more than 2 days and all of it being things that should have been caught and repaired when the car was inspected for its Certification. I have also received a recommendation for all the tires to be replaced due to cracks in the tires which happens when the tires are very old and begin to dye rot. If I had known this was how this dealership is going to conduct business I would not have traveled so far to purchase a vehicle from them and I will 100% be getting rid of this vehicle in the coming months. Now since I was from out of state, I was given a 30 Day temporary tag until I received my plates and I was told that if the plates haven't arrived by the time my tag expires then to contact them and they would get me an extension. I received an email from one of the finance managers a week before the expiration date stating that they needed a bill with my current address (recently moved) as my Drivers License had my previous address on it. Now when I was in chicago purchasing the vehicle they told the same thing and I sent a bill via email to Alex and they told me that I was all good.. Asking me one week before my tag expires about a bill needed to get my vehicle registered is unacceptable and shows a lack of communication within the dealership. The day before the tag expired I sent an email to the finance manager to notify him that the plates had not arrived and that I would need to get the extension. I did not receive a response so I called Alex the next day to let him know that my temp tag was expiring that day and I needed an extension. He told me that he would find out and call me back within 45 minutes to an hour. I did not receive a return phone call. So I called again but this time asking for a manager and spoke to one of the finance managers. I was then told that I needed to apply for an extension in my state but when I called my tag office in Georgia, they told me that since I purchased the vehicle out of state that the dealership would have to get one from that state. The next day I let the finance manager know and he said he would talk to the other finance manager and get back to me. Two hours later and I received an email stating that Illinois does not provide extensions and that they have attached a paper explaining the situation. The plates finally arrived on march 23rd, 20 days passed when the tag expired. While I greatly appreciate the finance managers diligence to try to get me an extension I find it frustrating that the lack of communication within the dealership caused a delay in my vehicle being registered which then led to me being pulled over 4 times by Georgia police, each time with a verbal warning and me being nervous driving everyday to and from work. In the end I greatly regret purchasing a vehicle from this dealership and I will not recommend it to anybody and will actively tell people to avoid this dealership especially if they're traveling out of state and If you do decide to buy from this dealership, make sure you thoroughly look over every inch of the car before you sign the paperwork.
