Purchased a preowned Ram 1500 & wanted the protection of an extended warranty. I paid $1900 for the 2 year contract. A year later my fuel tank is dragging on the ground so I call service to bring it in and an extended warranty. I paid $1900 for the 2 year contract. A year later my fuel tank is dragging on the ground so I call service to bring it in and come to find out I have no warranty & they say it wouldn’t be covered anyway . How would they even know it wouldn’t be covered , they didn’t even know what the cause was . Now they’re asking for a copy of the warranty because they have “archived” it and don’t have the warranty information. I even have the credit card receipt showing the charge for it but that’s still not enough for them. That just verified to me they took my money & never registered the vin with the extended contract . I don’t mind dealers that make good money on their used inventory but stealing & lying is where I draw the line . Will never go back , not even for service. It’s a shame . And don’t buy the “under new ownership” . More
