My husband and I are currently in the market for a used Dodge Ram. A friend of ours recommended Dodge City, and to see Chad. Now, Chad seems like a straight shooter, a no-BS kind of guy and we were very co Dodge Ram. A friend of ours recommended Dodge City, and to see Chad. Now, Chad seems like a straight shooter, a no-BS kind of guy and we were very comfortable working with him. Now, my husband and I are both coming off of bad divorces, both with credit issues which has made buying a car for us a huge, fat hassle. Chad, after looking at our financials, said that he would definately be able to help us out. After test driving a 2006 Dodge Ram, we gave them ALL the financials they asked for which was bank statements, phone bills, pay stubs for both of us, proof of residency, personal references (all due to credit issues). We were trading in an older car and putting cash down. First off, the price they came back for our trade-in was absolutely insulting and completely ridiculous. I had to fight to get them to raise the trade in value by 300.00. After waiting for a short eternity for the finance guy (who was an ass) to finally come back with their numbers- we were able to agree on a price, interest rate and small things (by the way, this truck needed WORK- tires replaced and a nerf bar replaced..what dealership puts a truck out that needs work on it?) so we were able to negotiate that in as well. In the meantime, I had to listen to Chad explain over and over how hard the finance guy was working for us to get us a great price and blah blah blah. Like I dont already know that we have horrible credit and needed to be reminded that through the charity of McKinney Dodge City, they were doing us a huge favor by letting us even consider purchasing a truck from them. And boy, werent we lucky three other people were in looking at that truck just that day and it was ours! Chad promised to put a sold sign on it, hide the keys, park it out back. That truck was ours, buddy! Next day, we get a call from Chad that..well...after consideration, the finance guy couldnt get us into that particular truck and would be interested in looking at a 2004 with 90k miles on it? Um, let me think about it? After wasting 3 hours of my life the evening before, handing over ALL my financials plus a pint of blood- the answer to that was a big NO. And then, after driving by the dealership and seeing the truck parked right in the front row, facing the road? They had no intentions on selling us that truck- ever. After all the BS and the waiting and lying...I will never purchase from this dealership. I may have bad credit now- but that will change. And when things come back around, I will never spend a dime of our hard earned cash there. More
Sorry there is no way I can select negative star ratings so I had to give them one. I contacted them on a vehicle on the internet for 8488. I am half tempted to tell you the vehicle and the stock numb so I had to give them one. I contacted them on a vehicle on the internet for 8488. I am half tempted to tell you the vehicle and the stock number. That way if you buy it you know how much to offer. But, I am not vindictive, just telling you about my experience. They sent pictures and over the following weeks I was told that the vehicle was incorrectly listed, that they had repairs & service to complete, but they would honor the listed price. I was told that on several occasions including once by the owner. I offered them 8500 (please note that is MORE than the asking price) they refused and said that they wouldn't sell it for anything less than 9308 because of the work they put into it . They re-listed it 14999. Now normally I wouldn't get that upset about something like this. However, based on other reviews on BBB and other places on the internet it seems that there is a pattern of telling (or in this case advertising) a vehicle for a price and trying to sell it for another. It's not honest and its illegal. Be cautious, or better yet, save yourself the frustration, and shop somewhere else. More
I visited Dodge City to look at a new Jeep and was very disappointed how it seemed that I was treated as if I knew nothing about cars because I was a woman. I was talked down to by the sales manager Deon a disappointed how it seemed that I was treated as if I knew nothing about cars because I was a woman. I was talked down to by the sales manager Deon after asking for a better price. Once I left the dealership I went online and found a much better price from another dealership. It seems as if this dealership tries to take advantage of women by unfair pricing. A coworker said she had the same experience when she tried to buy from them and ended up leaving and buying elsewhere. More
I came into this used car dealership with my son on Saturday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m. to see about a Dodge Charger I found listed on their website. When I arrived, Mr. Jose Olvera said the Charger was Saturday, April 17th at 1:00 p.m. to see about a Dodge Charger I found listed on their website. When I arrived, Mr. Jose Olvera said the Charger was sold but I might be interested other cars on sale, including a 2005 Chysler Pacifica. Mr. Olvera informed me that the vehicle was "on sale" for $13,000. (The price was not listed on the car's sticker.) It was poorly detailed and dirty but I test drove it and brought it home for my family to look at. However, while I was at home, I checked the dealership's website and found this car's "sale price" online at $9000. I have a hard time believing that the "sale" price in person would be $4000 more than the sale price online? When I returned to the dealership, I told Mr. Olvera that the price $13,999 price was too much, but he did not offer a lower price. However, as I was leaving, Mr. Olvera informed me that he did have a Charger (suddenly) for $14,999 that I could look at. I test drove the car and loved it. But, again, when I returned home to look up the vehicle online, it was listed at $12,999, again, several thousand dollars less than what I was quoted in person. It seems that when a single, young woman comes into your dealership, she can expect to be taken advantage of by their salesmen and given quotes that are several thousand dollars more than what is listed online. She can expect to never get an honest, fair price and will be swindled at every opportunity. Because of this experience, I am going to buy a Charger--in fact, my boyfriend loved it so much, he is going to buy one for himself. However, I will never shop at your dealership, again. We are brand and dealership loyal with money to spend. But, because of this experience, I will never shop here. This dealership has lost thousands of dollars in sales from me because their salemen saw me as someone to take advantage of rather than a potential, longtime customer. More

Everytime I talked with someone from this dealership I got a different story in how they were handling my serive issue. I asked to be put in contact with the factory rep and they would not do this. This is by far the worst service depatment I have ever dealt with. More
Dodge City in McKinney is a totally dishonest dealership and should be avoided for any vehicle purchase. The sales manager Deon especially has no concern for the customer and I have referred several others and should be avoided for any vehicle purchase. I placed an order for a 2008 Dodge Challenger on December 3rd 2007 and it was to arrive in the next several months. At the time pricing had not been released and I had agreed to pay the MSRP sticker price as 3rd 2007 and it was to arrive in the next several months. At the time pricing had not been released and I had agreed to pay the MSRP sticker price as I wanted to get this particular car. I had given them a 1k deposit and had my order sheet. About one month into the order the sales person called and said that I may not be getting my car as they were only getting two in and mine may be going to someone else. When the sales manager got involved (Deon Ramlal) he said that I could come in and get my deposit if I wished and they were going to auction off the cars they were getting. He was very rude and I had to get with the General Manager that was nice about it and said I would get the car. When the car arrived on July the 9th, I went to the dealership and was ready to pick up the car. They have now decided to sell the car to me for $5,000 over sticker price which was not what I had agreed to before. The salesperson that took the original order no longer works there. Over the years I had purchased three vehicles from them and this would be my fourth one. I got my deposit check and left, I will never do business with them and will never buy a vehicle from a dealership that hires this sales manager. More
