All told they had my truck for about 5 days, but Shane called to give me periodic updates as to the status of my truck. In the end, they found the problem and the technician was diligent to determine that the work was indeed under warranty. Great experience from and open and honest operation. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star overall was the total time it took to get my truck back (5 days). More

This is not the first nor second but the third time. Now that this is becoming a regular problem I know it takes 3-6 weeks to burn off. They have busted my dipstick tube off before and cross threaded the oil filter in the past. Might as well do it myself to ensure that I don't have to smell it when I drive. More

I live 780 road miles away so when I drive to Anchorage I do have a choice of places to go. In August I called the service department as I was planning a trip to Anchorage and needed some service on my truck. A service attendant named Shane Schenker took my call. We discussed my situation and he asked that I see him in person when I brought the truck in. Not only was he sincere on the phone but he was just as sincere in person. At 63 years of age I can tell when someone is actually interested in a customer and when they just want the business. I want to thank Chevrolet of South Anchorage for having someone of sterling character on their team. He does you justice. More

Service Department I arrived at the dealer at 0630, first in line before they opened to have my car checked for a long road trip. Bill was the tech who signed me in with I arrived at the dealer at 0630, first in line before they opened to have my car checked for a long road trip. Bill was the tech who signed me in with as I wanted the car check as well as the airconditioning which seemed to work at times. Bill told me he had cars ahead of me from yesterday and there would be a wait as I did not have an appointment. At 1500, 8.5 hours after I arrived, I went to Bill and asked if the guys were working on my car. He had to ask my name again and look for the paper work at whcih point he said no, they have not started. I asked for my keys back, I said I was leaving and would not be back for repairs or buy a car at this delaer again. I had originally bought this car at this dealer. At no time did Bill tell me my car would not be looked at this day and at no point during the day did Bill check in with me to let me know how things were going. The tech from the oil change desk asked me twice if I was waiting with him as I was sitting in the lobby all day and I told him what I was waiting for and he said, "Oh you with the other desk". He seemed to have great customer service. Anyway thank goodness there are other car places as I went o Midas and everything was taken care of in 1.5 hours with no appointment. I will not buy another car at this dealer or have my current car serviced at this dealer More
