Hid behind loopholes to avoid honoring warranty I bought a new 2015 Jeep Renegade from Charlie's less than a year ago. When I went to get it inspected, I was told that the tires were too worn down I bought a new 2015 Jeep Renegade from Charlie's less than a year ago. When I went to get it inspected, I was told that the tires were too worn down to pass inspection, even though they only had 19,000 miles on them and they had been maintained appropriately. The warranty that I received with the Jeep stated that the tires were guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase. When I called Charlie's, the told me to go to a tire dealer, but when I did so, they told me there was no warranty on the tires and that I would need to go to the dealer. I took time off from work and drove an hour to Charlie's, only to be told they wouldn't do anything about them except put an inspection sticker on the Jeep. They informed me that the legal limit for tire wear is 2/32 of an inch. I had one tire with 3/32, two with 3.5/32 and one with 4.5/32. They offered me a "deal" to replace the tires for $350, but only if I agree to have them rotated every 5,000 miles at Charlie's and have an annual alignment done at Charlie's. I don't live near Augusta, so that isn't an option for me. So now, in order to have safe tires on my Jeep, I will have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a vehicle that is not even a year old. The service department said that they have seen this before, particularly with the Jeep Renegades. If they know these tires are faulty, why are they still selling Jeeps with those tires. This is the third vehicle that I have bought from this dealer, but it will definitely be my last. I will find another dealer who won't hide behind loopholes (such as 1/32 of an inch of tire tread) to avoid replacing an unsafe vehicle part. More

My wife and I arrived and Josh and Mike spent 2.5 hours with us, we wanted something new, but were more than a little ambivalent regarding just what would please us. Poor Josh ran all over the lot bringing vehicle after vehicle for us to review. Then we saw our new baby; a Jeep Rubicon, 4 door, black. When it rounded the corner with Josh driving it up, Deb said that is "tough". In 70's lingo that meant it was the one. After finishing up some negotiations with Mike, some paper work we drove the Rubicon home that very night. Love the vehicle, got a great deal, hassle free, no pressure just a willingness and desire to please the customer. Go see Josh and get a great deal from Mike. More

The initial price offered was not as good as a competitive dealer was offering for the same model. Once we proved that the two vehicles were identical Charlie's matched the better price.
