I went into the dealship knowing what exact vehicle I wanted, and even had the stock number so they can quickly locate it. I went for test drive and like the car, so I decide to start the purchase process. The process was quick, I told them my bottom line for down payment and they agreed with it. I signed the paperwork, but I am married and they called us back the next day and the interest rate went from 14.9% to 5.69% only using my wife's credit and payment went from 690 to 557, and we are saving almost 10k in interest over the life of the loan.I came into the dealer not wanting to buy another car, but was having no luck in getting our trade in refinanced, even with local credit union pulling the approval from underneath because of her "unverifiable" income on my wife because she gets a 1099 misc but we file taxes on it every year, but this dealer did not need it because of her score was high enough. I have bought plenty of cars and know how the process works, and if you are prepared and know what you want, this dealer will make it happen. The car was detailed and full tank of gas even though it was pushing closing time. I was not upsold to add options that were not necessary like paint guard and fabric guard. I got the extended warranty because of the many features of this car that could become costly to repair down the road. All i all I was at the dealer less than 4 hours combined for two days. More
Worst ever experience trying to buying experience. Was told we would look only at vehicles with low miles, but was constantly shown nothing but 100k+ mile vehicles. To make matters worse, I was told would run my information and get back to me with a specific range. However, my credit was ran but I was never contacted putting a credit inquiry on my credit profile for no reason. Very unprofessional salesman who defines why people don't liked dealing car salesmen. I Have a 2010 Jeep Rubicon with an auto transmission. It started to shake wgen put in drive.Tony said i needed a transmission service. It did not help. I am an ASE certified Master Technician. I did not like their Shop foreman telling me how to do my job as my skill level probably exceeds any technician they have or should i say driver. All they did was drive my jeep around and say it was ok. How about fixing the priblem. Never again. I will just fix the xxxx thing myself. Soo much for thei acclaimed drivetrain warranty. My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Chapman 3 weeks ago, and we are completely and totally fed up! The actual purchase went well (it was probably the quickest and easiest purchase of the salesman's li ago, and we are completely and totally fed up! The actual purchase went well (it was probably the quickest and easiest purchase of the salesman's life), but since the minute we took the car home, we have had nothing but trouble. Despite being assured that the car was inspected and safe, we found that when trying to use the brakes, they squeaked and shuddered. This only occurred when driving over 60 mph, and was not something we would have noticed on the test drive. In addition, the windshield was cracked/chipped, the horn didn't work, and a fog light was out. All minor details that we could have taken care of, we were only concerned about the safety of the brakes, as we have a 3 month old daughter. We called our salesman (Patrick) the next week (it was a Saturday night when we purchased), and after much arguing, he agreed to let us bring in the car to the service department to be looked at. The car was taken in, we were told it was fixed, and we were given the car back having been assured that the brake issue was fixed. WRONG. The car was WORSE than before, and now shook constantly, the brakes still squeaked, and it now had an awful vibration and noise. We again called Patrick and explained that nothing was fixed, and it was now far worse than before. (Let me add that it wasn't Patrick's fault that all of this happened, and he actually did try and work with us after the initial phone call). He had us bring the car back in, and my husband took the service manager (Tony) on a ride along to show him the issues. We were given the car back today (3/5/2013), and ALL of the brake/shaking/vibrating issues still exist...although they did fix our horn and fog light (gee thanks!). We were also told when picking up the car that due to an error on their part, the car was NEVER INSPECTED before it was sold to us, despite multiple assurances that it was. We now have a call in to them AGAIN to see what will happen now. Bottom line, the service department is obviously highly incapable of fixing a vehicle, the sales department lies, and we are now seeking legal advice. DO NOT buy from this dealership unless you want to deal with them, and a potentially unsafe vehicle for an indeterminate amount of time. More
"Scott" Richard is the ambassador of car sales that I only met in this later stage of life that I wish I had involved in all my life's vehicle purchases. His customer service ethic and superlative friendliness made this the most enjoyable car purchasing experience I have ever had. If there is another car purchase in my future, I believe "Scott" Richard has established a bond and relationship that will endure that next vehicle purchase --- I do not think that Dodge could find a better company steward to not only get the Chapman Dodge name out there, but an expert in comfortably closing the deal! After a few months of emailing with Rick, we finally went in to purchase a dodge ram. Rick was tied up, so Scott stepped up to take care of us. The only issue we had was the yelling/screaming inside the showroom. We couldn't figure out what was going on, but it seemed like there was a little in fighting going on and it was a somewhat uncomfortable. It was also totally unprofessional. However, it didn't take away from Scott's performance and we actually saw him go over and say something to the people (who were behind some type of screen), so he was aware of what was going on as well. We would go back for another vehicle purchase and would recommend Scott and Rick. More
