Insulted and Disgusted Bought a Jeep Patriot at the Sarah location. Ever since I got it the TPMS light would come on usually within a day or two of putting in air. Every tim Bought a Jeep Patriot at the Sarah location. Ever since I got it the TPMS light would come on usually within a day or two of putting in air. Every time I would take it in, the service department would just tell me I had an overly sensitive TPMS sensor and it was not a big deal (and I found out later that they do not keep records for this type of service visit, so there was no record of my multiple visits to put air in tires). So for a long time I had stopped putting in air until I would get sick of looking at the warning light. Finally, the last time I put air in, I did not feel like driving all the way over there so I stopped at a tire service center closer to home for air. This time I got to visually watch and the guy was courteous enough to check the pressure in each tire and determined that it was the passenger rear and due to the reading determined that it was definitely a leak, not a “sensitive” TPMS sensor. I was in a hurry and had been driving like this for basically the last year so I decided I would get it repaired at a later date. Here’s where it gets interesting….. I stopped at Big O Tires and when they took the tire off, they came in and asked me if I had repaired it before because there was already a plug in there. Well, my answer was no, I bought the vehicle brand new and have never had any tire repairs till this day. So can someone please explain to me how a “brand new $24,000 vehicle has a plug in the tire from a previous repair??? After the guys fixed the tire, they were kind enough to document what they found so I could take the paperwork to the dealer so they could give me an answer to my question. I spoke to mgr. in service department and got lots of “sorrys” and shoulder shrugs, but no explanation and no solutions. So he pawned me off on the dealership mgr. who did the same thing. The icing on the cake however was that in addition to apologies and no explanation he more or less accused me of lying and that it was my word against his because they had no record of the visits. He also more or less said the documentation I brought in was worthless. Because he did not see the actual repair, and he suggested that they said that to try and upsell me. I am happy to say the Big O Tires is the best place I have EVER received any automotive service. Not only did they attend to me immediately and finished quickly. They also did NOT make ANY suggestions that I needed a new tire at this time. Best of all, there was NO charge for the repair. Yes, I repeat – NO CHARGE!!! I showed the mgr. the paperwork again pointing out that there was no charge. Anyway, I left there with no answer as to why I own a brand new vehicle that had a tire repair before my purchase. I was insulted by his suggestions, and absolutely disgusted that he refused to give me any type of compensation for selling me a vehicle that was presented as all new for 24 Grand but wasn’t. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another vehicle from Chapman Jeep, or any other Chapman dealership again. If I could, I would shove that Jeep as far up his back end as I could for insulting my intelligence! Seriously, who in there right mind would go through all the trouble I did to go out of my way to go there to get answers if It wasn’t factual. I give Chapman a ZERO for customer service, and a ZERO for loyalty and trust to their customers! By the way, since the repair the sensor has not gone off one single time!!!!! More
