We are very happy with our 2017 Hyundai Tucson SE SUV and we thank the Chapman Hyundai Employees that got us in our new vehicle. We had a very good purchasing experience at Chapman Hyundai; everyone was so nice and all greeted us with a smile and a firm handshake. She has made the experience of purchasing a vehicle, which I despise, comfortable and as easy as possible for me. While Chapman has sold me three, soon to be four vehicles and is a good experience, if she moves onto another dealership or brand, so will I. More
Update to earlier review Update to the original review posted on June, 19: Let me be clear, General Manager, George Salman, and Sales Professional, Rafael Felix definitely wen Update to the original review posted on June, 19: Let me be clear, General Manager, George Salman, and Sales Professional, Rafael Felix definitely went above/beyond their normal channels (e.g. making extra phone calls, sending texts/emails, navigating corporate contacts, giving me a loaner car, etc....) to correct this issue with my tires. However, I'm still not 100% satisfied with the result. Chapman Hyundai and I ended up "splitting" the cost for the replacement of four new tires. My bill? $268.24 After much research, George concluded, the OEM tire manufacturer (Hankook) would not do their part because: 1) I never had my tires rotated during dealership performed services and 2) I wanted to replace the tires with a competitors tire. A tire that might actually get use close to it's predefined treadwear estimate. That lack of Hankook corporate accountability, for creating a substandard product that only lasted 20k miles, left George and his team accountable to me for something outside of their control. That much is true. However, in light of that, here are some questions for you to ponder before you make your next service appointment: 1) Should anyone ever have to replace tires on a new car at 20k miles due to normal wear? 2) Should EVERY Hyundai dealership service department inform their customers that tires should be rotated every 5k miles with your oil change and not charge you for both services? 3) Should the dealership work quickly and diligently to resolve customer issues to their COMPLETE satisfaction? 4) Should the dealership create a seamless service process for the customer? 5) Should the customer be expected to pay for labor that they don't want the dealership to perform? 6) Should the service department advisor know (or be able to tell) how many psi should go in a tire without reading the factory sticker on the door? 7) If the service advisor doesn't know the answer to a customer question, shouldn't they try and get the right answer instead of just giving service advisor speak? 8) Should the dealership renege on a written agreed refund for labor costs? 9) Should the dealership "persuade" you to give them a good review (or change your original review) by holding your refund for labor costs hostage? 10) Court of public opinion, what say you?
