Service Department is Incompetent I took my vehicle into the service department less than a month ago because the vehicle was overheating and I could hear a water noise in the dashboar I took my vehicle into the service department less than a month ago because the vehicle was overheating and I could hear a water noise in the dashboard and the car started to overheat. The technician said that it was the thermometer needed to be replaced and that coolant had leaked so both issues were supposedly fixed. I picked up my vehicle and had to almost immediately take it back because the vehicle was still leaking coolant. I would have had to take it in sooner but we went on vacation for Thanksgiving so the vehicle sat in the driveway for a week. The second time, I took the vehicle in on Thursday morning and had to call myself three times on Saturday to get an update on the vehicle because no one would call me back. Finally, the last time I called I told the receptionist to put me through to the service manager. She instead took a message for him, but he never called back. Another technician called me back. They said that the oil cooler was leaking. The vehicle was not returned to me until Tuesday. I had to cancel client meetings and leave work early to pick up the vehicle. As soon as I arrived home, I noticed that the vehicle was still leaking coolant and smelled as if coolant was burning. The following day I made them come pick up my car at work because I had meetings all day. The porter that picked up the car saw the fluid leaking, which appeared to be transmission fluid to them. I received a call the next day from the technician who said that the leak was residual coolant from the prior repair. I told him that apparently the mechanics cannot clean up the mess they make. Then I asked him about the original water noise. The technician claimed that the mechanics could not duplicate the noise. About an hour later the technician called me and said that he had gone to look at the vehicle and noticed coolant leaking from the radiator. He called me later and said that I needed a new radiator. I picked up my vehicle yesterday and immediately noticed the original water noise that was supposed to be taken care of by the first repair. My only option now is to call the manufacturer and see if they have a more competent service center in town. More
Total Rip offs! I am aware that you pay more at a dealership than an outside mechanic shop. But this is highway robbery at Chapman! I went in with what I thought was a problem with my transmission (which is covered under warranty). It turned out to be 2 motor mounts were broken (which is not covered under warranty). They wanted to charge me $1100 to fix them. I was appalled. I went home and made calls and found that same service elsewhere to actually cost around $300. Chapman service center screws people over like there is no tomorrow! Don't use them if you don't have to. They are complete and total rip offs!!! More

Virgil came right out, I explained my issue and he got me set up with the rental car shuttle to pick me up, and was there within minutes. He explained that the shop was busy but would be in touch ASAP. They even had my car ready a day earlier than expected. Long story short, the day that could have been xxxx was handled so professionally, with ease and care that I truly wasn't fazed by the inconvenience of bringing my car to the shop. Virgil is TOP NOTCH and I truly appreciate his level of customer service! Nice work Chapman team! More
