Travis and Gary - It appears it’s been a couple of months since you had your Chrysler 200 serviced with us, so please forgive us if we are not current with the circumstances of the situation. We pulled the phone records, and it appears there were six phone calls between 9:30 and 12:30 the morning you are referring to. Most of the phone calls were initiated by you, although Virgil did reach out to you twice with status updates and coordination for a rental car closer to your home. It does appear that he did miss the a few of your calls, and this was probably due to him assisting other customers or monitoring the status of repairs in the shop. Please accept our apology for the missed calls. Regarding the actual repairs, we found the engine was ticking and vehicle was stalling due to a low oil level. This is actually a common situation for the 2.4 liter multi air engine because the variable valve timing actuators are hydraulically controlled, and the oil control solenoids will turn off when starved for oil. Fortunately, a simple oil change resolved the issue. As a side note, Virgil mentioned that the spark plugs were overdue for changing. Please be reminded that this is factory required maintenance which could affect the warranty of your engine. Please consider catching up on this maintenance if it hasn’t already been completed. Overall, we know the logistics of getting your vehicle to our dealership is complicated, but we do appreciate your business and sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectations. The parks plugs and a Tune up was completed the next day, but the Oil issues is still a problem, the engine is still knocking and or ticking. We took it to Jim Marsh as it was closer and the lady I spoke with to get it into your dealership said that we can not bring it on on weekend for Service Work, the weekend are only for Oil Changes. We have initiated another claim with Corporate because we are tied of the ongoing issues with this car. We would really like to just trade it in or get another car rather then keep this car, its nothing but a headache. Took it to Jim Marsh again this am about the knocking in the engine again and they said there is nothing we can do, try taking to another dealership.
