Discrimination/disrespect walking through the door I was in the market looking for a vehicle and sent my possible choices and it was Jacob, who works over in the Value Center across the street, who rec I was in the market looking for a vehicle and sent my possible choices and it was Jacob, who works over in the Value Center across the street, who received my requests and since one of the vehicles I was interested in was on that side. My brother came along with me and as soon as we entered the building we were not greeted or even asked if we need help with something. I started walking around for close to 10 minutes looking at vehicles and finally was approached by someone who pointed me in the right direction. After talking with the dealer it was assumed I couldn't afford much and I was enlisted in the Marine Corps when in fact I am a commissioned officer and just didn't want to go over a certain amount since I had a child on the way. I wanted a nice vehicle, but also one that is safe for my child so I stressed I needed to fit a car seat safely and properly. During the test drives our dealer had zero clue about the cars and was cursing/making childish jokes. Finally settling on a BMW 535i it was assumed I couldn't afford the vehicle until a background check was ran and I have never seen so many shocked people and the amount of phone calls I received when I left to go to the Mercedes dealership. It was close to closing and we had just finally received the car and I received possibly the fastest and worst overview of a vehicle from one of the managers. There was barely any mention of the safety features and some of the basics. I had a long drive back to Yuma and the focus was on the navigation system and just getting us out of there so they can close up the place and go home. Not to mention the rear mats didn't even fit properly and I was promised they were the right size. I also want to know why if we had to go across the street to the main dealership why I wasn't given to a dealer on that side. No matter who walks in the door treat every customer the same. If someone is at a BMW dealership in the first place that means they can obviously afford a vehicle there. More

Buy From Tate! Just a shout out to Tate in Certified Per-Owned. We communicated before I came down and he had the perfect BMW 5 Series ready for me. He is a super BMW resource but also knows so much about the other brands and spoke open and I believe honestly comparing BMW to the competition. They will locate the owner whom we are sure will be thrilled that Chapman BMW is going the extra mile even though THEY did not sell this car from their dealership.
