The only small negative was a wait for all the paperwork but there were several people ahead of us buying vehicles and he kept us advised of progress as we waited in addition to offering a comfortable place to wait. Buying a used vehicle from a trustworthy dealership. We had been searching for a used car for about a month when we decided to take a road trip to the Beltline in Decatur. After doing research on several different makes and models, we first stopped at Smith Motors where nothing was as stated on line. The asking prices were $2,000 over the quoted ones and the dealer was unwilling to budge on cost After checking out several other lots, we were about to call it a day and head home to Huntsville when my wife suggested one more stop at Champion of Decatur. I'm so glad we did because not only did we come away with a great vehicle at a fair price but met some interesting people in the process. There was no hard sell, no trying to sell us something we didn't need, just honest answers from people who seemed to enjoy working together and putting the customer first. Our salesman was new to sales and we bought his first attempt at selling a car. His name is Kyle Heym, and along with an assist from Gary Smith, they made buying our car a pleasure experience. In negotiating the deal, I noticed some minor damage, scratches on the left rear quarter panel and asked if they could make a price adjustment. No argument, no dickering, Gary knocked off $350 off the asking price. I would gladly have accepted $100. In the future, we will be looking at Champion first when buying a car. Thank you one and all for making our visit a fruitful and stressless one. More
