I went in for one of their big liquidation sales and I told the lady I did not want my credit ran until I found the vehicle I wanted for sure because I have good credit. She told me she was going to do what they call a "soft pull" on my credit, which would not affect my credit in any way and that they would only check it one time. The next morning I received 8 emails saying that there was 8 hard inquiries on my credit. This dropped my credit score 40 points. I then emailed the owner of the dealership and told him all of this and of course I never got a response. Even with a 750 credit score I couldn't get a vehicle and I have my vehicle to use as a down payment. They are a bunch of scam artists and I definitely do not recommend this place. They are only out for their best interests not yours!! Don't make the same mistake I did by falling for their tricks. Terrible salespeople!!! More

Great experience I leased a car from here two years ago and it was a terrible. It was the most pleasant experience I've had pu I bought my 2014 Malibu LT at this dealership and I was so lucky to have Kenan Manalp as my salesman. It was the most pleasant experience I've had purchasing a new car. Everything went smoothly and I got exactly what I wanted. As far as I'm concerned that was mainly because of Kenan. The 2014 Malibu LT is awesome and I love the Atlantic Blue color. When I had to go back to pick something up, another saleswoman came up to me and we chatted for quite a while....she was so friendly and made my small wait enjoyable. Great Experience - Professional Staff I purchased a 2014 Impala 2LTZ. This is the 9th car we have purchased at Matthews-Hargreaves Chevrolet. This Impala is the most beautiful car I have I purchased a 2014 Impala 2LTZ. This is the 9th car we have purchased at Matthews-Hargreaves Chevrolet. This Impala is the most beautiful car I have ever owned and I owned 4 new Corvettes over the years. This 2014 Impala has the best paint job I have seen on a Chevrolet in a long time. The titanium interior is gorgeous! Kenan Manalp worked exceptionally hard finding the car that met all of my requirements and desires and made sure it was delivered so that we could take advantage of the 0% 72 hour sale. This is the second car Kenan has helped us purchase. Kenan's skills at teaching us about all of the electronics and features are outstanding. In addition to Kenan's exceptional service, on the rare times I have had to bring my cars in for service over the years, Bob Ammon and the whole service department team have been efficient and professional. Hannah and Lisa in the finance department effectively explained all of the paperwork details clearly, concisely and answered any questions we had. Thank you for being our local Chevy dealer and having such a professional, caring staff. More
Slow and they play typical dealership games I stepped into this dealership to look at a Chevy Impala, and the sales person who "helped" me, Kathy McFarland, couldn't have known less about the hi I stepped into this dealership to look at a Chevy Impala, and the sales person who "helped" me, Kathy McFarland, couldn't have known less about the higher trims of the vehicle. I asked her what the difference between the 2LTZ and the 1LTZ was, and she had no idea... I had to look it up on my phone while I was out on the lot talking to her. Then I asked her if there was any interior color palate on the 2LTZ that came without the wood paneling, and she categorically said "no." I later looked it up online, and it turns out that there definitely is an option without wood paneling (which Kathy wasn't aware of). And the worst part of it all was that she acted uninterested and unfriendly through most of the time. But I liked the car enough, so I stayed to the point of asking her for a price. I specifically told her that I had to leave very soon because I had an appointment, so she said she'd "ask the manager" (typical dealership game -- I've been in a bunch of dealerships lately and the sales people can always give you a pretty good idea of the price)... she was then GONE for 15 full minutes, until I got fed up and decided to leave because I needed to be on time for my appointment. She and the manager saw me walk out, so the manager ran out and intercepted me in the parking lot. Very rudely, he asked if I wanted to know the price or not -- I said "sure, what's the price?" and then he told me that he was going to need 5 minutes of my time (which I did not have). 5 minutes for what? Just tell me the darn number and I'll be on my way. Again, typical dealership games. So I told him that I did not have 5 minutes and left. Later on, Kathy contacted me via e-mail with a price -- which of course was much higher than the price quoted by a different Chevy dealership in the area. I told her this, and she was not at all willing to work with me to get a sale. Overall, a very disappointing experience with this dealership. More
Great Experience After 15 years of owning a vehicle I was ready for a new car. I began my shopping for a new 2014 Impala. I started with a Chevrolet dealer in Clinto After 15 years of owning a vehicle I was ready for a new car. I began my shopping for a new 2014 Impala. I started with a Chevrolet dealer in Clinton Township, where the Sales person I contacted prior to visiting him made me wait for an hour before I can talk to him. I had given him colors, model of the Impala I was looking for, so that when I arrived he would have done some research for what I was looking for. When I finally got to talk to him he didn't even look into any of my request. He then proceeds to try to sell me a vehicle that I did not want color and everything, and he did not even try to give me a good price. So I left and decided to shop around, and came across Matthews-Hargreaves Chevrolet which were open on a Saturday, where I was greeted immediately by a Sales Associate by the name of Andre. He sat me down, took my information to what vehicle I was looking for. He took the time to search and take me out to where the Impala's were. He took the time to show me what they had, when I chose the one I liked, we went in to discuss pricing. We went back and forth on the price and he took the time to go talk to the Sales Manager to get me the best price possible. He had the vehicle all prepped, cleaned and he took the time to go over all the features of vehicle. He proceed to help me with getting all my stuff from my car and move it into my new car. He made me feel like I was the only person leasing a vehicle. From negotiating to when he hand me the keys to the vehicle, my experience was top notch. Days later having the vehicle he followed up with a letter to thank me for leasing a vehicle with Matthews-Hargreaves. He also sent me another letter a few days later to wish me a Happy Birthday. I have to say my Sales Associate (Andre) went above and beyond what I expected, especially with how I was treated with the other dealership I went to. I recommend to anyone if you are looking to purchase or lease a vehicle to give Matthews-Hargreaves a chance to put you in a new vehicle. After my lease is up I will be going back for another vehicle at Matthews-Hargreaves. More
