Service Department Oversights I set up an appointment to have my Saab's airbag recall completed through Champion Cadillac since they handle Saab recalls now. I set up my appointmen I set up an appointment to have my Saab's airbag recall completed through Champion Cadillac since they handle Saab recalls now. I set up my appointment online 2 weeks ahead of time. I received no fewer than 3 automated emails over that 2 week period and another likely automated email from the service adviser. I also sent an email to the service adviser to confirm my appointment, which was never responded to. I then called the dealership and spent 15 minutes on hold waiting to talk to a service adviser before hanging up. The day of the appointment when I arrived at the dealer, I was told that my customer information did not pull in from the appointment I had set up online. After reentering all info, I was told my car would ready in about an hour to one and a half hours. I hung out in the waiting room for about a half hour, then walked the dealer lot for another half hour before returning to the waiting room. While walking I closely paid attention to the PA system listening for my name and did hear other names called. Eventually the service manager reached out to me and told me that they had paged me several times (I heard nothing) and that they would need to order parts in before they could service my car. The service manager said that they'd reach out to me once the part was in. I was happy with the professional attitude and kindness the employees had. However, not only did the dealership waste over an hour of my time, they ignored my attempts to be sure that my appointment was setup correctly ahead of time and that parts were in stock. Overall I'm not impressed with the customer service that the service department has provided me. More
