I had recently had a bad experience with another Lithia Jeep dealer in Aurora Colorado (the one at havana/alameda). Deciding not to go back to them I tried this dealership for my lease buy out. I contacted Alex Y by phone and he was very cordial and expressed his desire to make my transition as quick and painless as possible. While at first skeptical, after emailing him my information he had most of the paperwork lined up upon my arrival. He introduced me to Greg in finance who completed a credit union direct transaction for me with very little time in the dealership/office. As my wife and I pretty much hate the car buying experience I have to report that I was very pleasantly surprised! They followed through on their promise of quick and painless and we were in and out in record time.I would like to thank Alex and Greg for re-instilling my faith that there are still a few good folks out there in car dealership land. I bought a car not long ago and dealt with Dan Smith the used car sales manager. My dad who at the time worked there warned me about Dan and his business practices. Dan and Lithia do what is called U/A a used car trade in. They will under allow by thousands of dollars a trade in. Their reps are trained to point out to the customer every flaw and even make stuff up to devalue the trade. They also freely discuss private information with their sales staff about customer’s private information including credit scores and derogatory credit reports. They ad points to their interest rates before a customer goes into finance and use the points to deceive the customer into buying extended warranties, lifetime oil changes and other offers lining their own pockets burying the customer for years in their new cars. Beware of Lithia Jeep. I also talked to a parts manager who works their that Lithia's corporate policy is that a customer buying a new or used vehicle gets 50% off service or parts when buying and having work done. He said service gives the 50% off but then doubles the hours they charge eating up the savings. These are only a few things I know what hidden things are you as a consumer unaware of when buying at Lithia. More
