From the moment I began interacting with the staff, I knew I was My experience at the Fox Valley Schaumburg Volkswagen dealership was one to forget. From the moment I began interacting with the staff, I knew I was in for a challenge. I went in because all the lights on the dashboard came on and the diagnostic they shared was that the control unit was bad. After some back and forth, I decide to move forward with them fixing it for a hefty price tag of $730. The following day I went back to the dealership, after receiving no call or update, only to find out that they told me that it was going to be another $330+ because they claimed that the starter on my car was no good. This immediately led to an argument with a disgruntled employee who claimed this was previously an issue even though this functioned perfectly fine before I brought my car in. Ryan, the manager, brought me into his office to take the argument away from the show room floor. After stating that I just wanted my car back the way it was, he claimed the work was done and couldn’t be un-done. Because I was in no condition to continue arguing, I agreed to pay both fees at a cost of more than $800. After taking more than 3 days to fix, I went to pick up my car only to have NEW issues with the car - alarm, automatic locks, and tire pressure lights all appeared on the car. I had to leave my car ANOTHER day to have them fix this as well. It’s evident that the Fox Valley Schaumburg Volkswagen dealership didn’t care about my customer experience or my car. Issues lagged, presented themselves out of nowhere, and there was no communication. It’s clear that this is not a dependable location - I advice you to proceed with caution (and a lot of time) before dealing with this group. More

Ken was great (and deserves a raise if that’s what these things are for. ;) On the other hand, dealer rater is a pain to use. Why do I need to verify my review? Are random people trolling the internet looking to submit reviews on my behalf? Why do I need to log into a profile? Can’t dealer rater come up with a better way to do this survey? What’s the point of doing this review if I’m just going to be harassed if I give anything less than a perfect score? Is that a system for realistic feedback? It was just an alignment, chill. More
