These people are honest and hard-working. Their sales department is not at all pushy, and their service department knows its stuff. The only real criticism I have is that they are a Volkswagen dealership, and not something classier like Audi. I've never really liked Volkswagen much as a company, but I buy their cars any way, because they are cheap and reliable. More
Is it still possible that in today's age of computer technology it takes two days to get a diagnostic for a warning light?!?! He brought the car to their service department every 10k miles for service and maintenance and was very pleased with his experience and the quality of his Volkswagon. He felt so confident in this car that he sold it to his nephew, my son. How exciting to have such a nice quality car at the age of 16! My brother took it in for one last service and maintenance check at 85k miles and handed the keys to a very excited young man. The car was driven for exactly THREE days after a full service and maintenance check by PUGI DOWNERS GROVE and had CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE due to blown fuel injector and leaking oil seals none of which were identified at the maintenance check. Additionally no warning lights went on until engine was in full failure. If these issues were properly identified by PUGI DOWNERS GROVE this entire situation could have been avoided. Instead my son's car now will cost more than he paid for it to repair and it sits in the PUGI DOWNERS GROVE lot for over three weeks with nobody wanting to take any responsibility for what happened. General manager pushes it to owner who pushes it to corporate who says sorry but we can't help you. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO TAKE SOME RESPONSIBiLITY FOR THE DAMAGE THAT OCCURRED TO THIS CAR. We have done everything right by servicing it and taking care of it and they MISSED the signs in a simple maintenance check that could have prevented this. This is not only financially damaging to a young man with his first car this is emotionally damaging to everyone involved. More
so far no good. With an appointment made a few days prior, the service center hasn't gotten to my car for 1/2 the day already. When asked if a loaner car could be given, they told us not unless they determine they cannot fix the car same day. Well we brought it in for air conditioning compressor and etc...If they haven't even evaluated the car with an appointment in 5 hours, how in the world do they know if they can fix the car same day. Service still hasn't called us. They should simply be like the old days and take care of the customer. Loaner cars were part of the "service" at a dealership...perhaps not for an old change, but for a bigger job. I am not impressed with this customer service thus far. More

Several other members of Pugi staff standing around him burst out in laughter. Service manager continued with harassment when I tried to proceed with question; laughter from staff again. Reported incident to owner via voicemail; he didn't call me back. I need to know what action was taken against disrespectful service manager and staff. BTW, I'm physically fit and mentally alert. The service folks had always treated me well... very respectful of my time and money... until recently. I took my VW in to have an oil leak they detected during my last oil change. A month later, my engine light comes on and I take it in to Pugi for analysis. I'm told that there is almost no oil left in the engine and the timing is completely shot... $2700 estimated bill!!!. "Shouldn't this have been detected when you fixed the oil leak, I asked". "No, it leaked from a different location and that's not our responsibility" I was told. "ok, can you at least work with me on the price?" $150 off is the best we can do (and I even talked to the GM). Then I find a coupon for $200 for anyone that has service done there. Successful companies need to understand the value of loyal customers and treat those customers fairly. I have always been an advocate for Pugi but no longer. Not sure about the new sales side, but in my mind Pugi is one brand all run the same way... be very cautious. This company that once treated customers right now seems to run on the "make the biggest short term profit" mentality. So sad More
horrible service I've had a few encounters with the service department that were horrible. Beyond the fact that my car received new scratches from a previous visit, my most current visit drew the line for me. I called the dealer to get a problem resolved and upon coming in they said "We don't have you in for an appointment." They also asked " have you ever been here before?" It's shocking since I bought the car from Pugi that they would only reschedule me for a later date and question me like they did my other visit. I was blown off twice by service and still don't have my problem resolved. I recommend going to a different dealer such as VW of countryside who I have had pleasant experiences with. More
