I don't think there was a single part of my interactions with Pugi VW that wasn't below my expectations. Where to begin... I drove two hours from out of state to look at a CPO vehicle that I interactions with Pugi VW that wasn't below my expectations. Where to begin... I drove two hours from out of state to look at a CPO vehicle that I had found on VW.com. After my test drive, I found out that the price that I had seen advertised was supposedly WITHOUT certification, and that certification would be nearly $2000 more. I was ready to leave at that point, but the sales manager agreed to honor the lower price with certification included, chalking up the advertisement on VW.com to a clerical error. Yes they did the right thing, but it still comes across as shady (especially since, by their own admission, this was not the first time it had happened). During the time between my first visit (Monday) and delivery (Saturday), I left a voicemail with Raluca asking for details on the loan she had lined up, and I sent an email to Andre requesting some extra documentation on the certification of the vehicle. Neither the voicemail or email were returned. We had "scheduled" delivery for 1PM on Saturday. Admittedly, I arrived about 25 minutes late, but still didn't get into finance until nearly 3PM. Andre was nowhere to be found upon our arrival (off with other customers was the best guess), so it was a good 30 minutes before he even got us in line for finance. At that point the dealership was so busy/understaffed that we waited nearly another hour to get into finance. The "delivery" was lackluster, with Andre telling me where the car was and that the keys were in it. He may have asked if I had any questions, I don't recall, but a run-through of the features (like how to pair my phone with the Bluetooth, for instance) would have been nice. I never received any documentation about the CPO warranty. The only CPO document I received from Pugi was a photocopy of the inspection sheet, that I had to request myself. That inspection sheet has a section for the customer (me) to sign... seeing as I never saw the original, I obviously never signed this sheet. The only other CPO documents I have came from a different dealer that I had been working with... without them I would have no idea what's covered under warranty, or what number to call for roadside assistance. Having worked in auto dealerships before, I know that the car buying experience doesn't need to be like this. While the people at Pugi do seem genuinely friendly, my experience leads me to believe that the business as a whole is focused more on quantity than quality. While that may be good for the bottom line, it doesn't produce recommendations, and it doesn't produce return customers. I can't say that I'd recommend Pugi, because it's really nothing special. In short, the only real positive of my experience is that I got the right car at the right price, which (for me) is all that really matters. More
PUGI Volkswagon was a breath of fresh air after going through so many other car dealers .It was evident we were at the right place to buy our car as soon as we were greeted by Andre Jennings our sales pe through so many other car dealers .It was evident we were at the right place to buy our car as soon as we were greeted by Andre Jennings our sales person.Andre was not only a great salesman he gave our daughter some great advice.We will definitely will make the drive again. Upon inspection of vehicle, we noticed the brakes were bad, we were first told that it was condensation . Later we informed that the rotors were bad and that all 4 rotors were going to be replaced. When we arrived the next day to complete the purchase, only the front two were replaced. The dealer did accept accountability on the oversight, but did nothing to suppress our displeasure. They were very good in letting us test drive the vehicle at our convenience. My only other concern was the length of time we had to stay to complete the transaction the next day. Andre was very helpful and even offered an umbrella for my wife because it was raining. Over all the experience was comfortable and easy going. More
Probably the easiest buying experience, I knew exactly what I wanted when I arrived at the Dealership. I had researched the Passat TDI SEL and received quotes from multiple dealers, Pugi beat the other de what I wanted when I arrived at the Dealership. Kelsie was great to deal with, he was very patient in explaining us the car, set up the Bluetooth for me and even called me the next day to find out how I liked my new car. The process was pretty seamles explaining us the car, set up the Bluetooth for me and even called me the next day to find out how I liked my new car.
