SilverRock later told me that the additional damage wasn't covered because it wasn't included in the information Carvana submitted. A Carvana representative subsequently confirmed in writing that he could see the hood claim but was “not seeing a claim was entered for the other body issues.” I'm a consumer, not an auto-body technician. I didn't know I apparently needed to identify every individual body panel by name to ensure each part of the visible damage was included. Carvana now says the seven-day period has expired. I explained that I'm not trying to add newly occurring damage; I'm disputing whether delivery damage was omitted from the original documentation. I requested escalation and review of those original records. Carvana told me the representative couldn't escalate the matter or transfer me to a supervisor for an override. I was then told to “rest assured” that my current concerns were properly documented. Unfortunately, I relied on Carvana's documentation process the first time, and I'm now dealing with this dispute precisely because part of the damage wasn't included in what Carvana submitted to SilverRock. My advice: photograph everything at delivery, specifically identify every damaged panel/component, and obtain written confirmation of exactly what Carvana entered before the seven-day period ends. Despite the low mileage, it came with four old tires in terrible condition. One had been patched multiple times and had FIVE nails in it. She discovered this while she was already in town, meaning she was driving a vehicle with tires that were not safe to continue driving on. So she did the reasonable thing and had the tires replaced immediately. Carvana is now refusing to reimburse her because she did not have the tires replaced through their approved service network. That is the part I have a serious problem with. When someone discovers a legitimate safety issue while they are already out driving, they should not be expected to keep driving around on unsafe tires just to reach a specific Carvana-approved shop or wait for Carvana to decide where they are allowed to go. She bought a low-mileage vehicle from them expecting it to have been properly inspected. Instead, she ended up having to immediately replace four bad tires just to make the car safe to drive, and now Carvana is refusing to cover the cost because she prioritized safety over their reimbursement procedure. If you're buying from Carvana, inspect the vehicle very carefully as soon as you receive it, especially the tires, and understand that if you discover something unsafe, you may still be stuck paying for it yourself if you don't follow their exact repair process. The first vehicle had serious problems immediately upon delivery and had to be returned. Hoping it was simply bad luck, I exchanged it for another vehicle. Unfortunately, the second vehicle also arrived with multiple warning lights and system malfunctions, including driver assistance and emergency communication system faults. Carvana instructed me to take the vehicle to the nearest Audi dealership for diagnosis. That dealership is over an hour from my home. After making the trip, I was informed I would be responsible for a $350 deductible to diagnose and repair issues that existed when the vehicle was delivered to me. I should not be expected to pay out of pocket for defects that were present before I ever took ownership. I have called Carvana 8-10 times seeking a resolution. Every conversation has ended with the same scripted apology and the suggestion that they could "help me get into another vehicle." That is not a solution. I requested to speak with a supervisor on multiple occasions and was repeatedly denied. While Carvana eventually extended my return window, the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and inability to escalate legitimate concerns have made this the worst vehicle purchasing experience I have ever had. Following the cancellation, a live advocate confirmed over the phone that my $1,290.00 shipping deposit would be refunded within 7 to 14 days. The Broken Promises: A full month passed with no refund. When I finally reached out via live chat to follow up, the advocate admitted on record that Carvana had completely failed to submit the internal Treasury ticket in July to release my funds. Despite being explicitly promised in writing weeks earlier that the money was on its way, no employee had actually processed the transaction. Worse yet, the advocate then stated they were opening a new ticket to "determine eligibility" for a refund on a cancellation that Carvana caused. The Takeaway: Carvana held $1,290.00 of my money for nearly 30 days without taking action until I forced the issue via chat. I have saved all chat transcripts, call notes, and email records. I am currently pursuing a formal merchant chargeback through my card issuer alongside regulatory complaints. Then, when the car was brought to us, they said that they were wrong in interpreting Louisiana law, and that a spouse cannot give a POA to approve a trade-in. They gave me the option of not trading in our car, but our note would increase by $40, or cancel the purchase and repurchase it in my name alone and delaying my car delivery by 5 days leaving us without transportation to work because you must show proof of insurance in the new car being delivered; the our trade in car is sitting in our driveway UNINSURED, and Carvana drrove our new car to TX and they would not deliver it back till four days later. Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. My pickup appointment was scheduled for 8:30 PM, but when I arrived the vehicle wasn't ready. After waiting until nearly 10:00 PM, I was informed the vehicle had a check engine light and a broken fuel door, neither of which had been disclosed beforehand. Because it was dark outside, I couldn't perform the detailed inspection I normally would have. I trusted Carvana's advertised 150-point inspection and took the vehicle home. Once I saw the vehicle in daylight, I began noticing additional cosmetic flaws that weren't visible during pickup. Unfortunately, the cosmetic issues ended up being the least of my concerns. Within days I discovered dirty engine oil, a dirty engine air filter, a dirty cabin air filter, worn windshield wipers, worn front control arm bushings, alignment issues, and tires that were severely dry rotted. These aren't hidden problems buried deep inside a vehicle. They are basic maintenance and safety items that should have been identified during even a routine inspection. I brought the vehicle to Firestone, one of SilverRock's approved repair facilities, and later to my local Volkswagen dealership. Both independently documented that the tires required immediate replacement. Despite that, the warranty company repeatedly denied the claim. To Carvana's credit, they eventually stepped in and reimbursed me $1,000 toward replacing the tires. I ordered the tires immediately. Before my installation appointment could even arrive, one of those tires suffered a blowout on the highway while my wife and our young daughter were in the vehicle. Thankfully, no one was injured, but that should never have happened on a vehicle that had supposedly passed a comprehensive inspection only days earlier. During my first week of ownership I wasn't enjoying my new vehicle. Instead, I was coordinating warranty claims, driving between repair facilities, paying out of pocket for maintenance that should have already been completed, and wondering what else had been overlooked. What disappoints me most is that many of these issues were things that simply should not have been present on a vehicle marketed as inspected and reconditioned. Dirty oil and filters, worn wipers, suspension components, alignment problems, and dangerously deteriorated tires aren't obscure defects. They are exactly the kinds of items customers expect a 150-point inspection to catch. I want to make it clear that my frustration is not with the employees at the Manville location. Everyone I interacted with there treated me professionally and respectfully. My concern is with Carvana's inspection and quality control process. The condition of my vehicle simply did not match the standards Carvana advertises. I paid more because I believed I was buying peace of mind. Instead, within eight days and roughly 1,000 miles, I had spent countless hours dealing with inspections, warranty claims, repair appointments, and a highway tire failure that could have ended much differently. I wanted to love the Carvana experience. I really did. Instead, it left me questioning whether the advertised 150-point inspection is actually being performed to the standard customers are led to expect. First of all Carvana tried to block us from doing a review on this purchase. We had to go back and use one of our other reviews to be able to post this. We love the Rav 4 but they really misrepresented the vehicle by first only showing 3 tiny paint chips and 1 light scratch and it had about 20 defects including 5 door dings, no matter how many places are on the vehicle whether they show them or not they will only fix 3 places and on both sides of the bumper there was big scratches and that counted as 2 and it should have just counted as one the car has a great Carfax and runs great it's the body that was so rough. I know I could have sent the car back but I would have lost my delivery fees so I decided to let them fix it and then after I was already to show them all the places they come up and said we can only fix 3 places. Carvana has really lost us as a customer and hope that others be very cautious because they will not cover the bad defects. We lost the car for a week to get it fixed and never got reimbursed for having to run back and forth 4 times and be without a vehicle for a week. JUST BE AWARE THEY WILL HIDE DEFECTS. More

However, I quickly discovered that all four tires were completely worn out and needed immediate replacement. This is especially concerning because their inspection checklist includes multiple tire-related inspection points (items 23–25). It's difficult to understand how a vehicle with tires in this condition could have passed inspection. After driving the truck only about 50 miles—while on my way to have the tires replaced—the check engine light came on. Based on the timing, I suspect the diagnostic trouble codes may have been cleared before the vehicle was sold, allowing the light to remain off just long enough to complete the sale. To make matters worse, Carvana's Executive Resolution Team has insisted that I drive the truck approximately two hours to one of their inspection locations before they will address the issue. Given the condition of the tires and the check engine light, I do not believe the vehicle is safe to drive that distance. In my experience, Carvana has made it unnecessarily difficult to reach someone with the authority to resolve these issues. I expected the inspection process and customer support to provide peace of mind, but instead I was left with a vehicle that I believe should never have been delivered in its condition. Carvana does not have a protocol for this and could not find any locksmiths. After waiting4 hours, driver’s lead called and told him to leave. Ruined my family’s 4th of July and will force me to get out of work early for a third time. I can’t trust this company anymore and will never use them again. Please go to Carmax. I had much better experiences with them. They told the driver to leave even though there was a locksmith on the way because they did not want to pay him overtime and holiday pay.
