Horrible experience, ended up losing the money I paid for shipping, and couldn't even talk to a real person. Was stuck having AI answer my questions and telling me that I would be in contact with an "advocat shipping, and couldn't even talk to a real person. Was stuck having AI answer my questions and telling me that I would be in contact with an "advocate" to help me with any issues. First of all, who needs an "advocate" to buy a car? It shouldn't be a battle. Scheduled the time to pick it up, provided all necessary documentation, and was told that they did not receive it in time and canceled my appointment. I even added the car to my insurance two days before the appointment. Did not even finance thru them, or get insurance thru them... Probably because that is how they make their money. Finally texted with a "Sebastian" who would not talk to me because I expressed displeasure with their service (said that they are idiots and that this was bull$h!t to be exact). I will vocally express my extreme frustration, and recommend everyone avoid Carvana at all costs. Horrible customer service and deceptive business tactics. I don't make many reviews, but people should know. More
I bought a 2021 Tesla Model 3 (my dream car) from carvana. Looked online and believed I had found the perfect option with Carvana as it had all the features I was looking for and seemed like a pretty carvana. Looked online and believed I had found the perfect option with Carvana as it had all the features I was looking for and seemed like a pretty good deal. The purchase went incredibly smoothly and I was excited to get it delivered the following week. The day of the delivery, my delivery driver called me to verify what I would need for the apt. Due to my delivery time (at night), I asked my driver if we should move the drop off location to a well lit parking lot so we could go over the car in detail to ensure everything was as listed on the site. My driver assured me that would not be necessary as carvana would cover any issues I found over the next 7 days during my “7day test drive”. I was hesitant to believe this, but he reassured me that we were “on a recorded line” and ANY issues would be covered. Later that evening the truck showed up with my Tesla in tow. After doing an amazing job of unloading it off the truck, he let me take it for a spin around the block. Once back, I mentioned a couple things I had noticed about the car. One was the fact that the previous owner had left an unpaid charge on the car that I was going to be on the line for. The second was what looked like a possible rock chip in the windshield but I could not tell how bad it was as it was too dark. Knowing that my driver told me I could take pictures of any damage over the next 7 days and report it made me feel at ease though. The rest of the delivery process went smoothly. The next morning I decided to take the car to the wash to get a clean look at it. As it was a very cold winter morning, I was excited to make use of the Tesla’s advertised heated steering wheel. (When I say advertised, it was one of the “key features”of the car. Carvana even highlighted the steering wheel in photos telling potential buyers how much they would love the heated steering wheel). After about 20 minutes of trying to figure out how to turn it on in my driveway, I realized it in fact did not have one. This was a huge bummer as it was one of the big reasons I chose THIS Tesla. After the wash I was able to assess the windshield. There were two large rock chips in the center of the windshield, and one of them was spiderwebbing out about half an inch on either side. After walking around the car, I noticed that the rear hatch of the vehicle was sitting noticeably higher than the roof frame ( about an inch). I immediately jumped on carvana’s website to speak with an advocate. Within one minute of letting them know about the issues, they told me that the windshield would have been covered by their warranty, but since the delivery driver didn’t take any pictures or list it at the time of delivery, they would do nothing about it. After going back and forth about having talked to the driver about it, they still told me I would have to just make an insurance claim. Just what I wanted say one of owning a “new” car, my insurance to go up and be out a $500.00 deductible. Regarding the heated steering wheel, the advocate said they would have to look and see if my “claim of it being listed” on the website was true. After verifying it was, they then came up with the excuse that it was listed on the car, but the vehicle was “priced without it”. During the entire conversation they continued to tell me that if I wasn’t satisfied with the car, I was welcome to return it. But they clearly know no one wants to lose out on their expensive delivery cost that the company takes from you if you return a car. The only repair they would consider looking into was the rear hatch of the car. This took over 6 days of calling carvana and being told someone would call me back and ultimately resulted in them saying it would not be covered. Would never do business with them again. More
The the byproduct of their greed during Covid still permeates through the company. I had so many issues that I don't have the energy to write an essay on here. I feel like I would have received better permeates through the company. I had so many issues that I don't have the energy to write an essay on here. I feel like I would have received better service at predatory "buy here, pay here" lot. More
DO NOT purchase a car from Carvana EVER. I purchased a beautiful-looking vehicle from Carvana. Shortly after, I took it in to have a minor cosmetic repair from a parking lot incident fixed on my bumper and the mechanic discovered SIGNIFICANT frame damage to the vehicle. The mechanic told me that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and refused to work on it because it was so unsafe that it was a LIABILITY TO THEIR SHOP. The mechanic who looked over the vehicle in my 7-day window missed this because the damage was hidden so well under the exterior panels of the vehicle. I was still in my 100-day warranty window and the warranty provider DECLINED MY CLAIM BECAUSE THE DAMAGE WAS CLEARLY FROM THE ACCIDENT PRIOR TO ME OBTAINING MY VEHICLE. Carvana advertises that they do not sell vehicles with frame damage. I learned later that their "150 point inspection" does not include the FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. I have been back and forth with Carvana for a MONTH awhile I do not have a safe vehicle to drive. It seems like they are playing a waiting game to get me out of my 100-day warranty period. Get on Reddit and you will see the countless similar stories from people dealing with Carvana. I've been passed around from agent-to-agent, department-to-department. The person I'm supposed to be working with will be "running meetings", "late to work", "in a meeting", "on a call", "out to lunch", "not at his desk and not sure why", etc. FOR A MONTH awhile I am making payments on a vehicle that I can't even drive. I've had THREE different mechanics tell me and provide documentation to Carvana saying my vehicle is unsafe and has significant frame damage and this wasn't enough. PLEASE do not buy from Carvana. I've learned SO much about them from this experience. They resell cars that were returned to them with known issues and resell them without fixing the issues. Their "in-network" warranty shops are on Carvana's side because their contracts bring them in major money. They buy cars from rental car companies who are self-insured so they will report an accident to Carfax as 'minor' even though it was a severe accident and then botch the vehicle back together in their own shops and sell it to Carvana. Carvana buys from auctions and does not thoroughly inspect their cars. And then when you have an issue, it's impossible to get responses from their Customer "Advocates". Now, I'm stuck with a vehicle that I morally cannot resell knowing that it has frame damage and now need to go out and purchase ANOTHER vehicle and at this point.. I'm just buying a brand new car. Carvana is the most corrupt company I have ever dealt with. More
Title: Horrible Experience with Carvana - Avoid at All Costs! I recently had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Carvana. From the start, it felt like I was being treated as an Costs! I recently had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with Carvana. From the start, it felt like I was being treated as an employee rather than a customer, with unreasonable deadlines and demands that were impossible to meet. It was as if I was negotiating for a loved one being held hostage, with constant pressure and threats if tasks weren't completed on time. Despite my best efforts to meet their demands, I inadvertently missed multiple deadlines. When I finally thought I had completed the last task correctly, I was scolded for not doing it right. After taking time off from my actual job to send the correct item, I was informed that the car I wanted had been sold out from under me. When I complained, Carvana attempted to push me towards another car, but this time they wanted to charge an unrefundable shipping fee. It felt like they were just trying to run off with my money without any intention of selling me a car. I have lost all trust in Carvana and would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a car from them to look elsewhere. Their customer service is abysmal, and the entire process is a nightmare. Save yourself the headache and avoid Carvana at all costs! More
Writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience attempting to purchase a vehicle from Carvana. While I initially chose Carvana for its promise of convenience and customer satisfaction, m experience attempting to purchase a vehicle from Carvana. While I initially chose Carvana for its promise of convenience and customer satisfaction, my experience has been anything but smooth. The vehicle delivery was initially scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024. However, despite my anticipation and preparation, the delivery failed without any resolution or clear communication from your team. The same issue occurred when the delivery was rescheduled for November 25. Now, I am being informed that the earliest possible delivery date is November 29, 2024. To compound the issue, when I sought assistance to resolve this matter, no one at Carvana seemed able to help. The only options presented to me were to accept the new delivery date or cancel my order entirely. This approach shows a lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. This entire ordeal has caused significant inconvenience and disappointment. I trusted Carvana to provide a seamless experience, but the repeated delivery failures and lack of proactive support have fallen far short of my expectations. I urge you to review this situation and take immediate action to ensure this delivery proceeds without further delays. Additionally, I believe some form of compensation is warranted for the inconvenience caused by these repeated failures. I hope Carvana can address this matter promptly and restore my confidence in your services. I look forward to your response. More
My wife and I have purchased 2-vehicles from Carvana, a truck in 2016, and an SUV in September 2024. The experiences couldn't be more different. The first was a great experience, which is why we went with truck in 2016, and an SUV in September 2024. The experiences couldn't be more different. The first was a great experience, which is why we went with them again a few months ago. About an hour after the SUV was delivered, we saw several imperfections not listed on the profile detail page for this SUV. Moreover, several features they list on that page were either nonexistent, or unavailable because the vehicle came with only 1 key (which we knew about). The remote start was listed as a feature for this vehicle, but when programming the infotainment states both keys must be present to program. We started the first of many calls within a few hours. Within the first few calls we were promised a $200 credit for a key fob and were told 2-weeks after our return timeline had passed we'd be sent a $200 check, which was fine. However, we would find out later it needed to go through their approval process and would ultimately be denied (zero follow up to let us know). We called back about our other issues many times within our window and would continue to experience a roller coaster of some decent calls mixed with many bad. Most of Carvana's customer service reps simply lack any kind of people skills, and several times we'd have calls dropped on us where nobody ever called back even though they'd take down our phone numbers during the call. They have no follow through, and it is completely up to the buyer to initiate everything/anything if something is wrong. Although, Carvana would ultimately approve fixing one of the imperfections (via 3rd party), it was a struggle to get even that. Overall, this experience with Carvana was not worth the perceived convenience of purchasing online, because if you have an issue and call them for assistance it's going to be an uphill fight. More
Beware - Carvana misrepresents details and options on their vehicles. Carvana has not stood by their word. The only thing that I have to say positive about Carvana is the ease of the entire process of their vehicles. Carvana has not stood by their word. The only thing that I have to say positive about Carvana is the ease of the entire process of finding, purchasing, financing and delivering the vehicle. However, after going back and forth with Carvana for over a month to resolve their mistakes, they still haven't been resolved: FACTS: The description listed on the vehicle was not true. In fact, there are 3 features that the listing says the vehicle was equip with did not exist. I didn't notice these features were missing until several days after the car was delivered. I contacted Carvan and they admitted to the mistake and said I could pick another vehicle from their inventory. I told them that there were only a few days left in the 7-day window to find another vehicle and that wasn't enough time, so they extended an additional 7-days to my search. I then asked them to look for vehicles that matched with the same (options, price, year, millage, etc.) as the vehicle I purchased, so they did. However, the only vehicles Carvana found that matched were either older models, much higher mileage or if they did find a match, the vehicles were $5k more expensive than the vehicle I purchased. I then asked Carvana to cover then price difference of the vehicles they found and they said no, I would have to pay the additional price difference, which I refused to do because it was Carvan's mistake misrepresenting the vehicle I purchased and was delivered. At that point Carvana said then I could return the vehicle, and they would only give me a $500 credit and that's all. I also asked for a refund of the delivery fee I paid, which they agreed to do at first, but when I called back asking when would I receive the money they said there was no record of them saying that and they flat out said they were not going to refund the shipping fee back. To even add to Carvana's mistakes, during this period of time I took the vehicle into the dealership to have an inspection done and it was determined in the inspection report that two of the tires were worn to the point they were unsafe to drive. So I contacted Carvana again, this time about the tires and was only told to contact Carvana's warranty company Bridgecrest. So I contacted Bridgecrest and they said that the dealership report was not an authorized shop in their network, therefore wasn't valid to them; and that I would have to use a shop from their list. So they said Pepboys was on the list and I could schedule an appointment with them which I ended up doing. So I took it to Pepboys, and they called Bridgecrest and got authorization to confirm if the tire needed replacement. After waiting for an hour for them to confirm the tire replacement, Pepboys called Bridgecrest and was told the claim was declined and I needed to call Bridgecrest to speak with them. After calling Bridgecrest myself, I was told that I took too long to take the vehicle into Pepboys and my period to have the tires replaced expired. What a waste of my time and money! I will never sell a car buy anything from this company again! More
Carvana is a joke. we have purchased 7 vehicles from Carvana. We found a different vehicle before any transportation or anything was done to the corvette ordered. We we have purchased 7 vehicles from Carvana. We found a different vehicle before any transportation or anything was done to the corvette ordered. We changed to a Land Rover. Delivery on both of these vehicles was weeks away. They refused to refund the shipping fee because it was not within 24 hours. It was 48. The customer service team was rude and provided little assistance. The manager sent me a response and immediately disconnected himself when I asked for reconsideration. i have a law degree and will be seeking remedies so others are not taken advantage of by this company. They will be headed down the same path as Vroom with thesr Business practice. I implore you do not give this company your money. They don’t care about their customers only stealing your money. More
