11 days after we bought this car, it broke down in CA. It was supposed to be fixed in CA and then shipped back to AZ. This happened over three weeks ago and we still don't have her car back. First they were going to fix it, then they said they had to ship it to AZ to get it fixed, now they say it's fixed in CA but no one really knows. Unbelievably poor follow up and communication. Additionally, a service request was submitted the day we bought it and 2.5 weeks later a random phone call comes in asking about the repair. This was supposed to be done before we bought the car but the salesperson never submitted the ticket. I will NEVER buy another car from Carmax and have let many people know about our experience. At this point, we just want our money back. More

Smaller store compared to other locations, and many younger unexperienced employees. Great car selection with delivery, decent pricing and all upfront information, pretty straightforward process. This place is TERRIBLE! We paid the deposit of $250 to get a car transferred here to Arizona. We test drove it and they said they'd send the paperwork. Ashley, who we dealt with, never mentioned that the car we would be buying would be sold if we didn't sign paperwork immediately! She told us she would send us a link to the paperwork. Instead, we got a text that the car had been released. We went back to carmax within the hour and (as Ashley wouldn't even make eye contact) were told a higher up manager higher than Dezirae had let another customer put a deposit down and they were buying the car. Dezirae was of zero help. Worst customer service ever!! And we are out the deposit! More

The team worked hard, several hurdles we had to overcome, and it took way more time than it should have taken. All in all it was fun for me to see the structure of the new sales team. I'm a pretty loyal customer to Carmax. I this is my 3rd car from Carmax and I've always had a great experience. Todd sold me a Kia Soul and was so patient with me and if I had any question I this is my 3rd car from Carmax and I've always had a great experience.
