When I was shopping for a new car I thought I had made a decision until I stopped at Car Black. Of course I was familiar with Buick but having driven Hondas, BMWs, and Toyotas all my life I had never driven decision until I stopped at Car Black. Of course I was familiar with Buick but having driven Hondas, BMWs, and Toyotas all my life I had never driven a Buick. A very knowledgeable and professional salesman assisted me and let me test drive an Envision SUV. One drive and I fell in love with this car. It was better than 4 other cars I was considering in same size range. Ryan Alexander made the experience of purchasing a car pleasant and not stressful at all. I highly recommend Ryan and Carl Black when purchasing a car. More

I set an appointment for 12:15 today to review a vehicle to purchase for our company. When I arrived I was not greeted nicely and asked to wait for 20 mins until a sales person became available. After I con to purchase for our company. When I arrived I was not greeted nicely and asked to wait for 20 mins until a sales person became available. After I connected with the salesperson they couldn’t find the vehicle I reserved for viewing. I found out it was taken to a car show and was then told the car show was close. In an act of reasonability, I agreed to drive over there to see it. But when I arrived and after reviewing the vehicle, I learned it was the wrong one. All to find out that the vehicle that I initially scheduled a meeting for was indeed back at the store. At this point the salesperson felt bad and said he’d give us 10% off and make sure we wouldn’t pay for different wheels we wanted. We go back to the store and identified the correct vehicle after two hours. And after an hour test drive and unpacking its features, we decided to talk numbers. It was at point I lost all trust in this organization. All sympathy was out the door and it was very evident they were only extrinsically motivated to try to take as much money from me as possible. Which reflected on a proposal of cost breakdown of the vehicle that did not reflect any discounts on the wheels we wanted, no 10% off, and what seemed to be a fictitious $3k “carl black advantage fee” for a protective spray that was allegedly for seat protection - even though the vehicle was dirty and had not gone through its inspection since delivery. When I tried to discuss these fees and called forth on what was said to me the sales guy denied saying he’d offer 10% off and that the statement was only for accessories. I was thinking to myself, well if that was the case then why wasn’t that discount reflected on the accessories. He also said that he doesn’t even get 10% off as an employee - but apparently online GMC employees get 15% off. Not to mention, it was framed succinctly that the vehicle itself would be discounted because in depth about it. He did agree the Carl Black Advantage fee was egregious with a smirk on his face. And kept pointing at the idea that his manager “might” still help with the wheels and now they can’t be swapped out for legal reasons. With also the emphasis that I should sign this paper which was 25% above MSRP. I’m writing this review in hopes to save others four hours out of their day if they are looking to do business with honorable people. While also I’m hoping the owner can see this and be motivated to offer better training for their employees - including their management. I’d like to think there are good car dealerships out there, but this one doesn’t fall within alignment with good business ethics and morals. With that said, we will be taking our business elsewhere.
