I purchased a jaguar xe from car mart a year ago after 84 days of having the car it had to go back into the shop for a major oil leak which caused me to be without the car for a month after getting the car b days of having the car it had to go back into the shop for a major oil leak which caused me to be without the car for a month after getting the car back 2 months later the car was back into the shop for another month within the first 6 months of me having the car the car was in the shop for a total of 2 months. Fast forward to today and the car has been in the shop now 3 times and this time a new engine was required. I purchased the maxcare warranty with the vehicle but was never explained the warranty fully plan now the cost to repair this vehicle is over 21000$ and they wanted to only pay the repair company 17800$. Now in order for me to get the car I have to pay an additional 4000$ to get the car out of the shop as well as still pay my car payments. Now I am not happy about this because of the fact of the matter I am still without a car and is forced to pay on a vehicle that the warranty company should have fully covered but denied part of the claim (PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GO TO CARMAX TO GET A CAR YOU'LL REGRET IT) TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE WHO GOT A CAR FROM THEM THEY OVERPRICE THEIR CARS AND HALFWAY FIX THEM SO YOU HAVE TO CONSTANTLY SPEND MONEY IT'S A RIP OFF WARRANTY COMPANY IS CRAP NOT GOOD More
Carmax does not inspect the cars as promised. The air filter was filthy and the cabin filter was dirty. who knows if they checked anything. My wife decided to surprise me with new(trucks) for my birthday. With the luck of the draw we drew James La Plume. James was great, he was very informative and pleasant to work with. My wife's vehicle had a problem with the power window which James set up a service call for immediately. My vehicle was fine until I got home and realized the floor mats had been replaced with generic floor mats, not the ones that snapped into place in the vehicle. I contacted James and he said he would take care of them. When I brought my wife's vehicle in I asked for James but he was off that day. Dale (sales manager?) came out with another set of generic floor mats and said he looked at the sales pictures and those were the mats it came with, I told him no thanks and proceeded to go back to the service department where I was dropping off my wife's vehicle and this idiot Dale (did not get his last name) proceeded to block my way and say I couldn't ask the service department about the mats. I told him I had other business back there and went past him. xxx! I contacted James and he apologized and said he would take care of it. Eventually the service department notified us that my Volkswagen mats were in. I want to thank James La Plume for being a man of his word and keeping his promise! Also when I was picking up the mats and getting my wife's vehicle repaired, there was a problem with the gas cap and Jessica Amico and Pete (didn't get his last name) ordered the part and set me up for the future appointment. They along with James, were great! More
The sales lady was rude and felt like I was getting interrogated. Went to look at two cars and she is like, these cars have a big price difference ($3 grand).... said i was going to take my kids to din interrogated. I should have read some of these reviews before going to this specific CarMax. Had I read them, I wouldn't have been so upset and shocked and stressed out from what happened during my visit. I was highly discriminated and profiled by this store, specifically by a manager who said his name is Nathan (wouldn't give his last name). He told me I can't afford the car I was interested in. Humiliated and embarrassed, I asked to be shown policy that prevents me from taking the car out. Nathan replied it's up to him and his discretion. So if you go there, be prepared to be profiled based on your physique, accent and the way you dress. More
I terminated my MaxCare contract as I am selling the car leaving USA back to Europe. I learnt that it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the check, and probably more. This location has the worst communication I've ever experienced. From scheduling me to come in and pick up a car instead of delivering it to telling me my partner doesn't have to be there, to refusing experienced. To top that off, he agreed to come and sign, but they wouldn't wait the 40 minutes for his arrival. Then when I spoke with a manager I was informed that what I had to say wasn't even relevant. Worst customer service I have ever had. If I treated my customers that way, my company would fire me. More
