The way he got there was the most disturbing. - $3000+ undercut for a trade that had been well discussed prior to the 2.5 hour trip. - $1600 for sales tax (as if I didn’t know that tax is calculated from selling price minus trade and taxed at 3%). Yes, I closed on another vehicle at $1600 over what I said with Capital. That $1600 is what I will get back with the extended warranty we discussed, and I would have been willing to work that out with Capital had the guy on drugs not came in nearly $6000 high. Now it all worked out. I got a year newer model with about 8000 less miles for right where I wanted to be price wise and it was an ATS with AWD and V6. All I lost was a day off of work, but I gained a better car and worked with a much better dealer at Deacon Jones in Smithfield. More
