BAIT & SWITCH! MUST READ! I went to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership. (The sequence of events took from 9:30 am to 7pm. ) I am in sales myself , so I was strai I went to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee at this dealership. (The sequence of events took from 9:30 am to 7pm. ) I am in sales myself , so I was straight and to the point." I am in the red $6500 with negative equity so , I need $11K for my trade in (fair market), it's also what two other dealerships quoted me and I need my payment under $525 including gap. I'll have $2000 to put down. I'm willing to pay under $30K. My credit is in the 700's with low DTI ratio so financing isn't an issue . I want leather and apple play. " They came back with an $8500 trade in value and a payment in the $600's. After saying it was a no go and walking out , they came up to $10,800 ( Playing games now). I went to lunch and had several phone calls with the salesman, one including the sale price of $29K with added leather and a vehicle including apple play... Then finally a call saying we can get you under $525 a mo. Congratulations. I advised, I will not sign if it's over $525 a mo with gap. I drove back and met with the finance manager. ... We get to the closing table and there was no option for a $525 payment with GAP. The sales price changed from $29K to $32K (this is how they came up to $10,800 for my trade) . Finance guy was pushing for extended warranty and $579 was" the best option" according to the finance manager. I called my wife and she said don't do it, let's discuss the terms and changed price. I WALKED OUT> I was being 100% transparent when I said if it's over $525 a mo. I'm not going to sign! Fast forward to today. The saleman,( VINCENT GONNELLY). And says he can get me a better deal because it's the end of the month, so I shoot him my offer. GEORGE RIGNEY the manager then replied with a text that" I wasted their time. They tried so hard. And some people (i.e. me) just don't see the value in hard work. "GEORGE I was baited and switched! You may get other people to agree and switch the sale price and their monthly payment at the closing, but not me. ****My advise to the public, always focus on the sale price. Get everything in email. Test drive then negotiate over email and phone. Have them send all breakdowns in writing and be aware of the rate and length of terms. Communication is key. If the structure of the deal changes that should be brought to your attention prior to the closing table. I get another text message from "VINNY" and he said, "I'm sorry you are afraid of your wife." NO, I respect her. She runs the house hold budget including vehicle payments and I manage two companies. DONT DO BUSINESS HERE. There are other dealers in the area that are professional. More

(Naples Jeep and /Galliana Jeep in Ft. Myers!). Don went the extra mile, putting the vehicle up on a hoist & located the noise and problem! THANKS DON!!!!! Brian was helpful as well, as was Charles? (retired polliceman from Michigan) who shuttled me home and back. More
