He is extremely unprofessional and clearly doesn't like being challenged on his numbers based on the numbers he gave us to begin with. If I could give him a lower review I would!!! More

The "fine print" costs are the same no matter if you are buying a vehicle, ATV or RV at any dealer. There is always a freight and prep cost as well as dealer fee and taxes and licensing. Now, while the cost may be more than it should be, it is still a fact of buying from a certified dealer. As for my personal experience, it was good. I was told about the additional cost over the phone before I even went to the dealer. I dealt with Valarie in sales and Travis in financing and Rich in delivery. All were very helpful and friendly and had a great sense of humor!! I am very happy with the overall experience working with them. More
Misleading beware their advertised prices online are $2000 less than actual cost of travel trailer. We searched and compared online for a month, before we found beware their advertised prices online are $2000 less than actual cost of travel trailer. We searched and compared online for a month, before we found a unit that suited our family at the right price, $13,987. Showed up to the dealer, the sales man was good and knowledgeable. We started talking numbers and suddenly the base price was $15,987? When ask why the difference? "Oh, the online price doesn't include freight and prep". Which comes out to $2000 additional $. We were told, that it's in the "fine print". Needless to say we didn't bring home a trailer. Didn't want to deal with a company that uses shady tactics to get you into the dealership. More
Great purchase of Columbus 320RS Can't say enough good about everyone at Camping World Madison. We knew what we wanted and worked with Matt in sales to get it done. He was very help Can't say enough good about everyone at Camping World Madison. We knew what we wanted and worked with Matt in sales to get it done. He was very helpful from order to pickup. Columbus came from factory with a couple of minor issues and Camping World would not let us do our PDI until they had everything fixed. They did and all has been great. We picked it up in April 2016 and have 5000 miles on it already. Everything has been working great including the couple items they had to fix. All around great experience and will continue to recommend to everyone I know. More
Poor customer service I've had nothing but problems with Camping World of Madison (Deforest) since I purchased a used Class C there because Camperland of Madison no longer I've had nothing but problems with Camping World of Madison (Deforest) since I purchased a used Class C there because Camperland of Madison no longer sold/dealt with Class C's. (otherwise I would have stayed with them) 1. The salesperson (now gone, was fired I believe) was rude to my wife, didn't follow through on a directive from his boss when he was suppose to deliver my unit to my home as a result of their screw up. 2. I traded my Class C in April of 2015 from another dealership but, because of some issues, was forced to take it to Camping World of Madison because it's an authorized Forest River dealer and warranty work had to be done to fix 9 problems. Camp. World had the unit in and out of the service center from May to December. After a road trip in October, I took it back in for the remainder of work and a slight accident that I had. It was over several weeks and I heard nothing from the service agent (he was fired too!) so the next time I called, I was told "he" no longer worked there. The other service reps. knew nothing of my unit (even though it was there) because the guy working with me left a mess. Eventually, another rep. took over the case and I received a call from the service manager, Jim, with an apology. Now it's November and I'm wondering what's happening and they are waiting for parts and I need to winterize it. Short story is that I called and met with the general manager Tom Hamil and he apologized up and down for the problems as they had had issued with personnel in the service department! (ya think?!!). He offered to winterize my unit at no cost. It wasn't much of a "sorry" gift at that point and I finally got my unit back in December! I did an online complaint to Camping World and it took about 2 months for someone to call and ask "was I satisfied with the work done at Camping World of Madison" and I hadn't gotten the unit back yet- she was surprised!! 3. Not finished yet! Fast forward to late April 2016 when I took my unit to Camperland of Madison, whom I've always trusted and dealt with since 2006, to get it checked over and dewinterized. They find leaks in the shower, toilet and water heater. So, now I'm in contact once again with Camping World because they winterized it and the damage (I was told) was due to them. My wife called Tom Hamil and left a message and the service manager, Jim called her and was quite rude especially since we had the winterization somewhere else. I called Tom Hamill and left a message and, again, the service manager Jim calls me and at least left a message. I called him twice and no return call. Funny thing is that back in December of 2015 when I met with Tom, after apologizing he said that "we want to do anything we can to earn back your business!!" I believe it's called CUSTOMER SERVICE! So I called Forest River and they agreed to honor my warranty if Camping World let's Camperland do the repairs. 5/8 and it's not resolved yet! So 3 times the story has been the same. Marcus Lemonis, if you're listening, take action! They are clearly all about selling camping units and that's clearly where it ends! More
Poor Customer Service in Service Dept. I had a service call for my RV for a Friday. I called at 8:45 AM to see if the part had came in. Ian in service said he would call back in 10 min. I had a service call for my RV for a Friday. I called at 8:45 AM to see if the part had came in. Ian in service said he would call back in 10 min. He never called. I called back 4 times that day and no one returned my call. I was nice every time. I have no problem with a delay if parts were not in, but this was terrible service. I called and left another message at 3;30PM and I am still waiting for a call back before closing. More
Poor Customer Service My husband and I have never owned a camper, but decided we wanted to delve into this new adventure. We found a camper that met all of our needs at Cam My husband and I have never owned a camper, but decided we wanted to delve into this new adventure. We found a camper that met all of our needs at Camping World of Madison. The sales guy (who is no longer there) was nice enough, but couldn't answer a lot of our questions and needed to reach out to others for answers. We decided to purchase our camper and let them know we needed a 'from scratch' hitch put on our vehicle. Basically, our SUV has nothing and needed the works. The sales guys says that's fine and supposedly lets the service dept. know. We schedule the hitch job 2 weeks later. The work is supposed to be completed while we have our camper walk through (which went pretty well) except the service dept. lets us know they don't have all the parts needed to get the hitch job done that day even though they supposedly worked through all that 2 weeks prior. Mind you, we live 40 minutes away. We finish our walk through and leave without our camper. We are rescheduled 2 weeks later to drop our vehicle off Friday evening so that they can have all Saturday to work on the hitch installation. We show up at 3:30 PM on Sat to find the service guys scrambling looking for a part for our hitch....SERIOUSLY! They are calling Farm and Fleet and other places looking for the part...and finally figure out how to make it work with what they have in stock. Now I am a little nervous about that!! Finally they show my husband how to work the hitch and camper because again...we are camper newbies. They finally send us on our way and when my husband gets home he tries to enter the camper and it is locked. They never gave us the keys and we were so worried about the darn hitch that we never thought to ask for them. Long story short....we ask them to mail us the keys because it is a 40 min drive one way. We get the keys a few days later, but have to pay $1.30 for postage. How cheap can Camping World be?? We will never purchase from them again and will never service our camper there. The whole experience was ruined. Hopefully after all of this we love our camper, but who knows............ More

VERY POOR SERVICE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY We wholeheartedly agree with the review above and we have similar trust issues with this company!!! We purchased a new 2014 Itasca Solei - no smal We wholeheartedly agree with the review above and we have similar trust issues with this company!!! We purchased a new 2014 Itasca Solei - no small purchase! - from Camping World of Madison (located in DeForest, WI) and since that time we have only been able to use our unit for a total of 16 days - the rest of the time it sat at Camping World for service (I use that term loosely) or it was parked in storage waiting to go in for service. An overall frustrating experience. It would take eight pages to list all our concerns with this dealership...I know because that is how long the letter is that I wrote to Mr. Marcus Lemonis (CEO of Camping World)...a letter that never received an answer as promised on posters displayed in Camping World stores, stating that Mr Lemonis personally guarantees his customers, 'total satisfaction'. The employees of CW will be very friendly and promise 'exceptional customer service' ...until they cash your check! After that you will have to deal with questionable repairs...conflicting answers to important questions (if you even get an answer)...ridiculously long times RV has to stay in the shop......poor communication and an overwhelming feeling that you made a HUGE mistake buying an RV from this dealer. We WILL NOT go back to Camping World and we WILL NOT recommend this dealer to anyone! We have given them almost a year of second chances - to make things right - I think that is fair enough. Currently we are scheduled for an appointment at the Winnebago factory in Iowa so they can address all the issues Camping World left unresolved. We have also located another Winnebago Dealer to work with...so far it has been a refreshing change from CW. More
I purchased a new Ace 27' motorhome paying cash, approx cost $80.000.When we made this deal we were promised a new leather back cushion, the cleaning cost for the bed spread that the sloppy mechanic approx cost $80.000.When we made this deal we were promised a new leather back cushion, the cleaning cost for the bed spread that the sloppy mechanic got grease all over and repairs on the sink that won't drain properly. These were to be ordered the next day, that was last August. I finally called Thor to see where my parts were---they never got a work order from Camping World. I submitted the cleaning bill which was $17.50 and they never paid me for that huge cleaning bill. In January I called Madison C.W to see if I could at least get my $17.50 back and the desk girl said Bob would call me when he got back from the post office, guess what they must be real busy there because he never called back. In all of my 70 years I have never dealt with such a pack of dishonest liars. The new camping world I tried in Wildwood Fl is just as bad as the one in Madison Wi .I tried to them to take care of the problem, they had the coach for 3 weeks ,they also said the parts were ordered---they weren't and the coach sat there for 3 weeks. All I can say is God help you if you buy a coach at Camping World More
