I purchased a 2023 Thor Freedom Elite HEF back in October of 2022 from Campers World in Berkley, Ma. The 2nd trip we noticed a leak in the water tank. Since the rig is under warranty I elected to have Camper of 2022 from Campers World in Berkley, Ma. The 2nd trip we noticed a leak in the water tank. Since the rig is under warranty I elected to have Campers World do the work. Had to leave the camper there to have them diagnose the water tank. It took them a week to diagnose the water tank problem and another week for warranty approval from the manufacturer Thor. I was told it would be a minimum of two weeks for the tank to be delivered and another week for the tank to be delivered to CW. Since no one would return my calls I went down to CW and finally talked to a service rep and he stated that actually the part would not arrive for another month.... which was total xx. He stated that the part is delivered by freight which was either a lie or just plain laziness. I called the manufacturer (Thor) and a helpful woman stated that the part is actually being delivered by UPS and being delivered within a couple of days to CW. She actually gave me a tracking number to monitor delivery. Since CW already had my camper for a month at the height of the season, I elected to take the camper home. Now, after all these events came to light I have to take a day off of work to return there and actually have the work done, supposedly a 2 hour fix. The only reason I went back to CW was the warranty....I wasn't going to pay out of pocket after spending over $100,000 on this rig. How is it that a customer knows more about delivery and arrival times for parts than the service department? More
Original Dealership was fantastic before being bought out by "Conglomerate" World RV. Bought new Coleman in 2016 (2017 Model year) Numerous "warranty" issues never resolved back then. Slide out water leaks by "Conglomerate" World RV. Bought new Coleman in 2016 (2017 Model year) Numerous "warranty" issues never resolved back then. Slide out water leaks never resolved properly. Lost a $400 AGM Size 31 battery due to months in shop. Hardly got to use it due to repairs, COVID, and sudden unforseen medical issues. Final straw was hidden slide out leak (last year) which I still believe was caused by POOR Quality control by Coleman. $21k to repair slide out!!! My ins co totaled it.... very dissapointed. Will NEVER buy another Colemanuch less from Camping World in Berkley. More
We had our brand new 2023 Keystone Cougar 29 RLI delivered to our campsite on Friday, 5/19/23. Upon arrival, the wardrobe slide was not operational. A call to Camping World was made and I was told delivered to our campsite on Friday, 5/19/23. Upon arrival, the wardrobe slide was not operational. A call to Camping World was made and I was told to call Good Sam Elite. The gentleman from Good Sam Elite was amazing but could not troubleshoot the problem over the phone and suggested I call Camping World back to have a tech come look at the unit. Dominique from Service informed me that she could not send a tech out on Friday, as her manager was not there. She stated she "was here for me and to make sure things were taken care of." Dominique stated she would call me first thing Saturday morning. It is now Sunday evening and still no phone call!! Apparently, once you buy a unit, any problems that arise are your problem, not theirs. Very displeased with the Service Department!! The one saving grace for camping world is McKayla in the Finance Department. She was amazing to work with. I was not impressed with my sales person, Barbara, either. I definitely knew more about the unit I was purchasing than she did. Also, numerous texts were sent to Barbara with no response. Not professional at all!! I can't say we will be doing business with Camping World - Berkley in the future! More
Terrible customer service and lack of call backs or communication. These people are crooks. I told my sales person I would put $500 to hold a unit. I was told this was refundable if we decided not to m communication. These people are crooks. I told my sales person I would put $500 to hold a unit. I was told this was refundable if we decided not to move forward. We needed time to discuss and since no one in the finance dept was there we would have to wait to find out the terms. They charged my card for $1000. I said no big deal since it was refundable. We waited for financing rates/terms. All they could tell me was a “very low” monthly rate. This low monthly rate just happened to be for 15 years. In the meantime they “prepped” the unit despite the fact that we didn’t sign a finance agreement or do our walk through. We weren’t happy with the deal and decided not to move forward. Because the unit had been “prepped” (again despite the fact we didn’t have a sales agreement, financing etc) we were charged a “prep fee”.. which just happens to be $950. The general manager has been dodging calls since and every time I call I’m assured I’ll get a call back. We have yet to hear anything or get a refund. Stay away!! More

Brought my camper to have a new gray water tank put in. I explained on 3 different occasions, prior to them starting the work, what needed to be done and which tank it was (my fifth wheel camper has 2 gray I explained on 3 different occasions, prior to them starting the work, what needed to be done and which tank it was (my fifth wheel camper has 2 gray water tanks). I could have done the work myself, but decided to have them do it as it was wintertime. After calling numerous times checking on what the progress was, I was informed they replaced the WRONG tank that had nothing wrong with it!! They then took that tank out and put the original back in. Then they replaced the tank that had the crack in it that should have been replaced in the first place. I had even showed them a picture of the tank that had the crack, but still they replaced the wrong one. When I got the receipt for payment, they even tried charging me for parts on the wrong tank they replaced!!!! I brought my camper to the campground on April 1st and saw a “ding” in the front of the camper that wasn’t there before. I believe they have people moving campers around in the yard and they don’t know how to drive!! My son in law had the same thing happen when he had us camper there for work. Neither of us inspected the camper before we pulled it out off their lot, so it’s our word against theirs! And I found that they didn’t put the water filter under the sink back together, so when I hooked up the water to the camper, it leaked inside!! I will NEVER go there again for anything!!! They have employees that don’t know what they’re doing and they don’t take responsibility for anything!!!!!! More
My husband and I went to Camping World in Berkeley to look at an RV they had advertised. Did not care for that particular one and we were shown another one that we loved! Did not intend on buying one this day, but we did. Barbara was excellent. Didn't try to up sale, just listened to what we were looking for. We negotiated on price and we were happy with the outcome. We haven't picked up our new Motor Home yet, but look forward to doing so. Thank you Barbara for your time!! More
