Worst Car buying experience This all started well enough when a new and friendly sales person named Jake helped me look around the lot. He was inexperienced (only there for one month), but seemed sincere and helpful. He was unfortunately also wrong about many of the statements and promises made. They didn’t have the exact auto that I was looking for, but he helped me search out a perfectly suitable make and model. He even made a video of the car for me - which was appreciated - but also how I later noticed that Camelback Toyota ended up losing or taking my floor mats. They were in the video, but not in the delivered product! We agreed on a price and I thought the transaction was going well. However, I told them that I had a medical appointment in 1 1/2 hours and suggested that I come back later that day to finish the paperwork. They would not have it and said that everything would go very quickly… spoiler alert… it did NOT! They took me back to the finance guy (don’t remember the name). It turned out that I was his very first transaction. This became very apparent when we had to redo the paperwork 3 times … and as it turned out, still didn’t get it right. I am a handicapped individual and have permanent handicapped plates. He did not know how to deal with that - went to get his manager and came back saying it was taken care of. When the temporary paper plates came on the car, there was NO handicapped emblems, so until the permanent plates arrive, I will not have access to parking. It is still unknown whether the info ever got to the DMV for the permanent plates. He got the addresses wrong on one attempt at the contract and never did not include the warranty in the financing package. Obviously this all took quite a long time and I missed my appointment. There was some work that needed to be done on the bumper, so Jake told me I should have the car either that night or the next day, which was important as I was going out of town for the weekend. This was Not the case - the car was finally delivered on the 5th day at 8pm in the evening. At this time, there was no introduction of features of my car - just dropped off, and upon pulling it into the garage, I noted that the tire pressure light was on. The next morning, I drove it over to Discount tires to fill the tires, and was told that the measurements of the tire tread were both 1mm on the front tires and 4 mm on the rear. These were dangerous tires and would need to be replaced. Upon reporting what I had been told, Jake said that Discount tire just wanted to sell me tires, and that the service people from Toyota had approved the tires, but they would recheck when I brought the car back for the bumper to be fixed. (Yes - even though the car wasn’t delivered for 5 days, the bumper had not been repaired!). Michael, the Sales Manager had made two calls to me to check on my happiness with the car… both times I told him I had not received the car. He said he would check on it and call me back, but if I didn’t hear from him the next morning, I was to call him. I didn’t hear, so I called him. He said he was very busy and asked if he could call me right back. He never did… in fact, I called him and left messages 3 more times and he NEVER returned my call. Talk about poor customer service! When I brought my car in for bumper repair, I once again asked them to confirm about the tire tread. In the meantime, I had shown it to Big O tires and a gentleman that had been in the car industry for 25 years. They both agreed that the tires were completely worn out. However, once again the Toyota service people said that they were fine and even said the tread measured 4 mm in front and 5 in the back. Upon suggestion, I had purchased a tread measuring tool myself and asked Andre the sales manager to come out and check it with me. They were indeed 1mm and worn out. His technician gave some lame excuse - Horrible customer service! More

He truly took the stress out of the car buying experience. Jason kept in constant communication with me and answered all my texts and questions immediately. He is a true gem and I highly recommend working with him. He makes you feel like family and we truly appreciated everything he did to make a new car possible. I am writing this review to prevent from being scam and taken advantage off. Camelback Toyota is not in the business of taking care of their clients but rather, ripping them off and treating them worthless taken advantage off. I purchased a 4runner and service front and rear brake pads and resurfaced rotors at Camelback Toyota to find out not even a year later I would need new brakes, came to find out they charged me for OEM parts but they put on tier down of the original brakes pad to make you come back sooner but they wont sale those parts to clients, BE AWARE IF THIS. 4runner 5th gen, Rear brake pad oem number is 0446-60140. They put on 0446-AZ203. The shady part is they charge your for the OEM ones but don’t get what you pay for. They will get you , so be aware of this ! There is YouTube videos on this as well if you want to your own research but its time for big corporations to take advantage of their customers. More
