I purchased a vehicle with my own financing. They knew from the beginning that I did not want to deal with their financing or terms, so they never sent in the documentation or my blank check (which they n from the beginning that I did not want to deal with their financing or terms, so they never sent in the documentation or my blank check (which they never had me sign) from my approved lender Capital One. After One week of me contacting them and asking why they have not contacted my lender, they claim there was a problem with Capital One and the Loan to Value ratio. They lied outright because I have been in contact with Capital One and Capital One already told me Camelback Hyundai never contacted them. Matter of fact, Capital One had contacted Camelback and they NEVER returned their call. Camelback then tried to get me to sign another contract under Fifth Third Bank with a larger interest rate. I told them I was not interested and returned the car to them. Camelback Hyundai is now trying to scam me and say I own the car and they have transferred the contract to Fifth Third Bank. How can they when I didn’t sign anything with Fifth Third Bank? I was approved with my own financing (had a check) and because they were not going to make any money off the deal, they decided to try to do the “Spot-On” scam from the start. Read about it and be very careful when going to any dealership, here is the website http://www.autocheatsheet.com/Car-Buying/Vehicle-scams.asp . I will never set foot in a Camelback Hyundai-Kia dealership and will make sure I spread the word to any friends, family and acquaintances to stay far away from them. I have submitted complaints to the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney’s office for consumer fraud. More

I visited Camelback Kia on October 19, 2013, to look for a used car <$10K, <60K miles. There were no cars matching my criteria on the front lot so I was taken to the back lot to look at cars that had been t a used car <$10K, <60K miles. There were no cars matching my criteria on the front lot so I was taken to the back lot to look at cars that had been taken in on trade that day. From those, I selected a 2005 Kia Sportage with 66K miles. I worked with my salesperson, Marissa, to negotiate a good price, $9,500, and secure financing. I signed all the paperwork for the car and completed the transaction, or so I thought... Because the car had just been taken in that day, I was told that it needed to be inspected and detailed by the service department before it would be available for me to pick up. At that time, I was told that the car would be available as early as Sunday, October 20th or, by the very latest, Wednesday, October 23, 2013. I called each day to check on the progress and was continually assured that the car would be ready as promised. On Tuesday, October 22, 2013, however, the staff stopped returning my calls. Finally, on Wednesday, October 23, I received a call from the sales manager, Robert, who informed me that the car that I thought I'd purchased was never actually Camelback Kia's to sell. Apparently, the couple who'd traded in the Kia Sportage were unhappy with the terms of their deal and had not signed the car over to the dealership. At that time, I told Robert that there were two ways they could make me happy: 1) deliver the Kia Sportage ASAP once it became theirs and, in the interim, provide me with a loaner car or 2) sell me an equivalent (or nicer) vehicle for the same price. Robert (the scoundrel) told me over the phone that they had two vehicles ready for sale that would work: 1) a 2009 Kia Rondo priced at $10,900 and 2) a 2009 Nissan Versa priced at $9,995. Based on that information, I drove 45 minutes to the dealership to look at the options. There, I settled on the Kia Rondo; however, Robert then informed me that the car was not $10,900 as promised but now was priced at $12,000+. I call shenanigans!!! Not only did Robert flat out lie to me on the phone about the price of the car but, when I balked at the price increase, he told me, "I don't care if you buy the car of not." So much for customer service! When I told Robert that I was going to file complaints with the BBB and the AZ Attorney General, he became irrate and accused me of "threatening him". Hardly. I was merely informing him that I planned to report him and Camelback Kia for what I view to be, if not illegal, highly unethical business practices. More

I have purchased about 12 or 13 new cars in the past. At this dealership i was treated fairly and professionally and much better than my previous purchase experiences. In addition I was called every other this dealership i was treated fairly and professionally and much better than my previous purchase experiences. In addition I was called every other week by an employee named Marisa telling me of special sales events. I had no intent of purchasing a car on the day i returned to to the dealership after being told by Marisa that they were practically giving the cars away. However my wife and I were treated so well that 90 minutes later we left with a new Hyundai. They did not give the car away but they made us feel very comfortable making this decision in very brief time. More
She picked out the car she wanted and with it being the Holiday sales event the deal took longer than expected so I was considering what I wanted to do in front of the sales person, MJ. The MJ asked me if Holiday sales event the deal took longer than expected so I was considering what I wanted to do in front of the sales person, MJ. The MJ asked me if I would consider a Kia Optima and I hated to go sit at another dealership for 4 hours so I agreed to try an Optima. I liked the car and we proceeded to see if the numbers would work. After the first round of negotiations the sales person came back and showed me the numbers. The numbers were not too close so the sales person said he needed to get me more for the trade in. At this point MJ asked me, “How is the car?”. He didn’t look at me he when he asked he was focused on the paper with the numbers. I replied to him, “It has some oxidation worse than the first car I brought him and a small oil leak, but other than that I consider it good.”. MJ just flicked his hand at me like those things did not matter, but I really felt like he was not even listening to me. We went back and forth a little bit more and we came to an agreement…or so I thought. It was quite an ordeal to get the car, but 2 days later MJ and another person George brought me a car and took my trade-in. It ended up being more of a car than I had first agreed on (It had uvo and back up camera), but MJ said, “We just made the numbers come out the same anyway.” MJ and George came back to my house the next day because they forgot to get a temporary license plate and never mentioned anything about my trade-in. About 10 days later I received a call from the Frank Ruiz at the dealership, he told me I had to come down there, and to put more money down. They had decided that my car was worth less than they had originally appraised it for. Remember 2 sales people came to my house originally and they came back to my house the next day. The sales reps said nothing about the trade in either time. I told them that I did not have any more money to put down, but I drove down there to understand what was going on. I told them I did not have any more money. They said that the car was badly damaged and it needed a paint job. I explained that I told the sales person that the car was oxidized, had an oil leak, and he did not seem to care. As far as the other damage I am not sure what they were referring too as I am not a car person. The car (to me) runs fine and still does. The worse person I had to deal with was Darlene Pizano. She was condescending to me when I told her I was not aware of any damage. She kept asking me if I was saying that the dealership did the damage. One other statement was, “OH so you don’t drive the car.” I finally had to ask why she was talking to me like the way she was and that I was not saying anything other than I didn’t know what damage they were talking about whether it was at the dealership or at my house. Still to this day they will not even tell me what damage they are talking about. I am wondering if they damaged something and they are putting it on me now. Finally, the GM Robert Revere came into the office and said,” We are going to take the car back and give you your car. Your car is out front.” Being naïve and not knowing the legalities of everything I felt I had to agree because I did not have any more money. As I was driving home I felt like something was not right. We have a signed contract that they would give me a new car and they would take my car as a trade in. When I left they did not have me sign anything to the contrary. Then I thought well what if I wanted to return my wife’s car after 10 days would they take it back? Of course they would not take it back. They would tell me tough, right. What allows them to bully me into taking my car back? I told them to the best of my knowledge the status of the car and they agreed to the deal sight unseen. I am not an expert in cars, they are. That’s why they have appraisers. I was in their dealership for my wife and they made me an offer when I told them I had an appointment elsewhere. Now I am being told that because of the signed contract I am obligated to the new vehicle and that I do not own the car I tried to trade in because I signed it over to the dealership. I tried talking to the GM Robert again, but he just talked over me telling him I owe them more money. This really does not feel right and I am told that this could be fraud. At the very least this is not how to handle business. More

Bought my Kia here last year, didn't get my contract from fiancé agent, drove back next day, discovered they added in some security fee! Had them take it off. Didn't really think much about it, this yea from fiancé agent, drove back next day, discovered they added in some security fee! Had them take it off. Didn't really think much about it, this year my son asked me to cosigned on a loan for him , Camelback Kia had been sending me emails , calling my house and mailing me buy back offers ,to the point that it was getting annoying , but because one of these emails had an offer for 12,999 on a new Kia soul! I took him their , I asked for the out the door bottom line price. Sales man said 15,600 with Kia rebate and sons trade , that he said would be $500 but turned out to be $250. Told finance agent Justin I wanted a 4 year contract , he talked us into a warranty that covered everything for 2,000, dents, paint, oil changes , towing, rental, everything all for one low price , sign here, sign here , very! Very! Friendly, you would never suspect that he was changing the paper work around !! Our payment on this new amount was to be $318 on a 48 month contract with my sons trade and down payment , sign here!! AND AGAIN DID NOT RECEIVE MY CONTRACT PAPER, but some of the other papers I saw made me suspect that he was being charged for more than we bargained for! So I called the very next day talked to Darlene in finance and was assured that that was not the case and it truly was all included in one price, but they had to break it down like that because of the financing and if I looked at my contract ( the one I didn't receive ) I would be Able to see it , so I requested a copy of the contract and told her that we never got our copy! Went to a car payment calculator , and at 48 months everything LOOKED OK!! But one month latter and still no copy of the contract, after two more requests and promises to get that over to me right away, I get a letter from Kia stating our pay off amount , and the term of the financing ! JUSTIN HAD CHANGE IT FROM 48 months to 60 months , so the increased amount would go unnoticed in our payment! After receiving this I called to talk to a manager and was told none was available , And I would need to talk to Justin! Long story short until I told a young lady buying a car to read everything very carefully , and not to sign anything unless she read it very carefully, and make sure she got her contract, then a manager came over and pulled out the contract and very condescendingly said did you sign this, is this your signature ,over and over again! Then asked me to wait in a private office, away from the sales floor, the young lady was so put off by the way he was treating me that her and her mother left, then a man ask to talk to me about what happen and another manager ( who looked more like a bouncer ) spoke very aggressively to me , told me I needed to leave NOW, and my business their was done, I told him I was having all the warranties takin off, and had to wait for my son to sign off on it, he demanded I go in one of the offices, shut the door and again said repeatedly did you sign this , is this your signature , in the same condescending tone as the other manager! When I ask to see the tapes that they record in finance , to show him the lies Justin had said, he refused ! I WOULDN'T SEND MY WORST ENEMY HERE , THE WORST CAR DEALER THAT I'VE EVER DELT WITH , AND I WILL POST ON EVERY SITE , SO THAT NO ONE WILL EVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I DID! And if you see any 5 star ratings for Camelback Kia , you should know that the dealers are writing them, they read just like an advertisement ! My niece works in an office and any time someone post a bad review , the whole office is told to write a lot of good ones to counteract any of the bad ones! More
