After having less-than-positive experiences while test driving cars at Honda and Toyota, I made my way over to Hyundai, bracing myself for the same cl After having less-than-positive experiences while test driving cars at Honda and Toyota, I made my way over to Hyundai, bracing myself for the same clueless salespeople who don't know anything about cars or how to treat people (especially women). We were greeted right away by an incredibly polite Kris, who took us right out on some test drives. He actually had an answer for every question I asked, unlike their competitors up and down Camelback. He confidently described each feature on the cars (and we looked at quite a few), but also knew when to sit back quietly and just observe. On the way out of the dealership late that evening (about half an hour after the store had closed), a beautiful blue Elantra in the showroom caught my eye. I hopped in to check it out, and much to my surprise, instead of shooing me out the door, Kris hopped into the passenger seat next to me and started telling me all about the car. I told him I'd be back the next morning to test drive it. When I went back the next morning, Kris was busy with another customer (I hadn't made an appointment) ... so his manager Kyle took over temporarily. We took the Elantra out for a test drive, and again got all my questions answered politely and confidently. Kyle made sure we had everything we needed while we waited for Kris to finish up with his customer (water, coffee, snacks), and then we all sat down to talk numbers. Later that day, I drove home with that beautiful blue Elantra! What a positive car-buying experience! I can't imagine going to any other dealership ever again. More
