This was a completely different experience than I have dealt with in the past at other dealerships. I would recommend Maggie and Colonial to anyone and I plan on buying future cars from this dealership. If you are looking for a car, definitely contact and work with Maggie. so glad we bought our car from Sam at Colonial! As soon as I pulled into the lot on a whim to ogle some vehicles I had noticed from the road, Sam appeared to offer his help. The rest is history. He and Nick (who specializes in used car sales) were incredibly accommodating and generous with their time and energy. From the first minute, I felt like Sam and I were on the same team. Even though I wasn't in a position to purchase a brand new vehicle or a very costly one, he went out of his way to make sure I felt like our sale was important. He offered many ways to ease the process, including coming to my house to help make a vehicle switch so my two young children would not have to spend hours in the dealership. Throughout the process, I felt that my best interests were in the best interest of the company. Sam was professional, friendly, patient, genuine, and honest (also, a very snappy dresser). It was refreshing to work with someone whose personality matches so well the job of customer satisfaction. In the end, we drove off the lot a week or so later in a handsome 2009 Suburban after working with Scott to finesse the details (which he did deftly, with a practiced, polished, efficient symphony of papers, printers, signatures, and staples). The final gesture of kindness on the part of Sam (and another man, whose name I didn't catch), was, while we were in Scott's office with our tired, hungry children, to install our cumbersome carseats in the new vehicle. In the dark. I can't overstate how much that meant to us in the moment (it was past bedtime for our preschool set). When the day arrives that my husband's car finally gives up on us, we will not hesitate to return to Colonial. Of course, we will ask for Sam. I recommend that anyone in the marked for a new vehicle would be well served to do the same! More

I was set up with very compassionate and understanding staff members. They made sure that I was doing okay every step of the way and told me they would take care of me. They even told me that they would make sure that I got back home, which is an hour away, no matter whether I bought a car from them or not. More

We perfor We had a great experience working with Colonial Auto Center and Justin Powell on the purchase of a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum edition. We performed extensive pricing research throughout the process, using fair price tools and finding comparably equipped vehicles online. We test drove several vehicles and worked extensively with Justin both in person and by phone. When at first we didn't think we would be able to satisfy our list of wants with a vehicle that Colonial had in their possession, Justin began to call dealerships in surrounding states to find what we were looking for. We eventually purchased a vehicle that Colonial had on the lot, but hadn't yet advertised online. We found Justin and the other folks at Colonial to be attentive, fair and an overall pleasure to work with. We look forward to future dealings with Colonial Auto. More

We spent weeks looking at dealerships in the Fredericksburg, VA area, only to become frustrated with the prices and their unwillingness to work with us in a budget that met our needs. We currently own a Nissan Frontier and have been extremely satisfied with it's performance, which led us to look at Colonial Nissan in Charlottesville. When we arrived, we were greeted by Chris Crowley with a friendly welcome. He took the time to listen to all of our needs, as well as our budget, and spent a total of 4 hours showing us different SUVs, both new and used. He kept asking what our wants and wishes were, as well as our budget, and worked diligently trying to match us with the best SUV for our family. At the end, we ended up with a perfect fit for us! The next step was purchasing the car- I truly appreciate the fact that NO GAMES were played. We were all upfront and honest with each other, which lead to an amazing deal that both my husband and I were completely satisfied. We both would HIGHLY recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. For us, it was worth the drive from Fredericksburg to Charlottesville to be treated like actual human beings instead of pawns in a chess game. More

So when it was time for my son to buy his first vehicle, although he lives in CA...we went to Colonial Auto while he was visiting home in VA recently...we just wanted to check into financing options etc. I was thrilled that Scott Draper was now in the financing dept. and he immediately made the financing process as smooth as possible for my son. Michael Gazdik had the perfect truck ready and waiting to drive the day he flew to VA... a great truck that met my sons specific wants...something I thought would be impossible as he's very specific on all his purchases. Michael and Scott both were EXCELLENT in making my sons first big vehicle purchase a hassle free experience. Although we had not planned on it to happen so fast, the transaction was so smooth that it was worth it to buy the truck in VA and have it shipped to CA. We knew he would never be able to find such great service and helpful people in CA...cannot thank Scott Draper and Michael Gazdik enough for their hard work and willingness to work with a young guy from CA who had such specific wants and making it happen for him with no problems!! Micheal has also been super in answering our many questions about things as well. Also the Car Care center was very professional and helpful when I brought the vehicle back for the protective coatings to be done before we ship it to CA. A TOP NOTCH EXPERIENCE ALL THE WAY AROUND!! The offer pushed me over the edge from simply thinking about buying a new (to me) car and got me to take the plunge. I stopped in on a friday evening and spoke with Michael about returning on monday for a test drive or two. He let me know they'd just taken in a trade i might be interested in as well. I IM'd with Maggie Brown about the recent trade over the weekend to inquire about the asking price. Monday when i showed up for my test drive, both vehicles i was interested in were pulled up outside the business offices. I test drove both and purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle that included a 12 mo bumper-to-bumper warranty with 24mos of service included. The recent trade-in needed new tires & brakes, an inspection, and cleaning. Michael gave me a loaner while the work was completed and i picked up my car the following day. Michael told me they "owed" me an upholstery cleaning because the service dept didn't have enough time to complete that. A day or two after picking up the car, i noticed one of the air vents was broken. I called Micheal and made arrangements for that to be replaced and to have the upholstery cleaned. Once again, i was given a loaner car while my car was serviced. I have been very pleased with the service i've received at Colonial. Everything thing i've been told would happen, has happened exactly as it was described to me. Overall, i'm very pleased with my experience. More

The circumstances that brought us to purchasing a new car were stressful, but Maggie was right there, answering every question and calming every concern. She treated us like friends, and words cannot express the gratitude we feel for all of Maggie's assistance and patience. I must add that Kevin and Blake were also very kind and helpful to us during our visit at Colonial Auto Center.
