This is a complaint for fraudulent business practices against this dealership involving, among other things, the following: When I originally purchased a new 2009 Kia Spectra in June of 2009, part of th against this dealership involving, among other things, the following: When I originally purchased a new 2009 Kia Spectra in June of 2009, part of the sales agreement was a “guarantee” or “promise” of free tires for the life of the vehicle as long as all of the required maintenance was done at this dealership . When it came time to redeem my free tire offer, I spoke with the Service Manager, Bob Owens, who confirmed that I was in compliance with the maintenance schedule and said he would order the tires and, at that time, made an appointment date and time to have then installed. The free tires for life offer indicates that the replacement tires would be of ”like” kind, in this case, the tires that the vehicle came with are Goodyears. When I arrived for my appointment, I asked to see the replacement tires that were going to be installed. Mr. Owens did not seem happy about my query, but went in the back and returned with a sample tire indicating that these were the ones that were going to be put on my car. When I saw the tire, I noted that it was a “Doral” tire, which is a very low grade tire and nothing “like” the Goodyear tires that are on the car. I asked Mr. Owens if these tires were “like” tires (as promised in the guarantee) compared to Goodyears and he became very irate saying, “I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer?” He also said, “you get the tires that my service people order, do you want them or not”. At this point, I asked to speak with the GM of the dealership. I was told that he would be in “about and hour or so”. (This behavior was noted by another customer who was there for service and he later told me in the waiting area that he was “surprised” by how I was treated by a so-called “Service Manager). It was only when I could not get a satisfactory answer to my questions from Mr. Owens that I asked to speak to the GM. I waited for over an hour and a half in the waiting area to try to speak with the GM, Marcus DeAngelis. He never arrived. I left several voice mail messages for him later in the day and the following Monday morning, which were not returned. I showed up at the dealership the following Monday evening unannounced and was finally able to track down the GM. After giving me several excuses, none of which were legitimate, as to why I would not be getting the proper replacement tires, He then said that I was not entitled to any tires at all because he deemed that I had not had “every” single maintenance done, according to their maintenance schedule. I did, in fact, have all of the maintenance done at this dealership since the time I bought the car. I told Mr. DeAngelis that his statement was totally contradictory to my prior telephone conversation with his Service Manager, Mr. Owens, wherein Mr. Owens confirmed that I was in compliance with the maintenance schedule and that he would order the tires, also evidenced by the fact that Mr. Owens scheduled the appointment for the installation and gave me a date and time to arrive. Mr. DeAngelis denied any knowledge that Mr. Owens had this conversation with me, indicating that he could not have ordered the tires and made an appointment to have them installed, because he did not have the “authority” to do so. After arguing back and forth, to no avail, I told him that I would be filing a complaint for fraudulent business practices with the BBB and Department of Consumer Affairs. His reply was, “okay, go ahead”. After that statement, I left his office and the dealership. They also ripped me off on the original purchase the car, so I should have known better to trust that they would make good on their so-called free tire offer. More

I can't beleive how well I was treated at Burlington Kia. Gary Abrams was an amazing dealer, he went above and beyond his duties. Out of all the different dealers that I have incountered, I have never had such an honest salesman, Gary did everything in his power to assure me that I was going to leave with the mini van that I choose. During the process we encountered a few bumps along the road but that didn't stop Gary from giving his all. My son who is in the Air Force is interested in purchassing a vehicle in the near future, and I will bring him to Gary. Burlington Kia has me as a customer for life. Kodos to Gary Abrams, what an amazing person so kind and yet remained professional. I recommand anybody interested in getting a vehicle to go to Burlington Kia and ask for Gary Abrams. More

It was just my intent to look at vehicles to see what's out there, but Gary made the experience very pleasant and hassle free that I purchased a pre-owned Kia the same day. I visited Cherry Hill Kia before calling Burlington Kia, and I was totally disappointed with Cherry Hill. I called Burlington from the parking lot of Cherry Hill, and LaKeith answered my call professionall and I was totally disappointed with Cherry Hill. Without my asking for more information, he emailed me details on the 2012 Optima I was interested in. I didn't tell him I was stopping by to see the car, and when I arrived, he greeted me graciously and with a friendly handshake. Within one minute, I was riding to the off site lot, in a comparable car and listening to LaKeith describe the model in a straight forward, honest, no nonsense style. It was appreciated after listening to a stereotypical salesman at Cherry Hill. LaKeith directed me to a location where I could test the car from stop to high speeds, as well as from high speeds to stop. Both tests helped sell the car. When we moved into the financial discussions, LaKeith was again knowledgeable, and honest; there were no surprises or disappointments. I drove home a new 2012 Optima for less than what Cherry Hill wanted to sell me a 2011 with 32,000 miles on it. I would recommend this dealership, and LaKeith in particular. Last time I purchased a new car was in 1973. I was a lucky person to get new cars every few years from my employer. I worked at a car dealer in the early 80's and had nothing good to say about that plac lucky person to get new cars every few years from my employer. I worked at a car dealer in the early 80's and had nothing good to say about that place and they have since gone out of business. Buying a new car was a chore I was not looking forward to. It turned out to be a very pleasant experience, I was quite surprised. I enjoyed working with John and securing the deal that I had hoped for. I did not feel the least bit pressured and things when fairly smooth. I traded in a car and left with my new Sorentto. It was a great day to drive away in my new car. When we saw the car it was exactly as described, at the final price we agreed upon. Although Gary did offer other options while we were purchasing the car, at no time did I feel pressured by him or any other staff at Burlington Kia. That is a big plus in my book.
