I recently purchased a Kia Telluride at the Burlington Kia dealership. Overall, my experience was terrible. In summary, it was the least transparent and most deceptive experience I’ve had purchasing a car. My car purchase experience spanned two consecutive days. On the first day I walked out the door with one piece of paper – the window sticker – which had the features and price of the car I was considering clearly spelled out in exchange for my commitment in the form of a deposit. The following day, I excitedly arrived via a 60-minute Lyft at the dealership eager to be driving home a new Kia Telluride. It would be an understatement to say that I was shocked to see the “new” price of the Kia Telluride had increased by $7,000 from the window sticker I was given the day before, an increase of over 20%. I immediately expressed my frustration and asked to speak directly with the sales manager. Specifically, I wanted to know how I could walk out of their dealership with only one piece of paper clearly stating the specific car, VIN number and price only to show up the next day to a price $7,000 higher with zero discussion (let alone a mention) that the numbers on the paper they gave me were not to be trusted. The closest thing I received to an answer from the Sales Manager was “We can’t let that much profit walk out the door,” which still doesn’t explain why they would intentionally deceive a potential buyer by taking a deposit and giving them a window sticker with fictitious prices. I reluctantly agreed to purchase the car because I truly liked the car and knew it could take months to even locate a similar car, let alone have to go through any dealership experience again. Burlington Kia certainly used the current market conditions to take advantage of a customer. My experience at the Burlington Kia was nothing short of despicable. It was deceptive, misleading and dishonest. I strongly recommend steering clear of this dealership. More

Recently went to Burlington Kia to see about purchasing a used Kia. I was greeted by the nicest young man-Gavin Brown. He made my buying experience excellent. Terrible experience. I talked with Ashley via email, text and multiple phone calls about a specific vehicle we were interested in buying. I made an appointment for the same day, and she was aware that my hus and multiple phone calls about a specific vehicle we were interested in buying. I made an appointment for the same day, and she was aware that my husband and I were driving from over an hour away. When we got to the dealership, we found out that the car we had discussed had been sold the day before - and in fact was never even IN BURLINGTON (it had been at a Kia dealership in Greensboro, apparently)! The sales team could not have cared less that we had driven from out of town for a vehicle that was never there to begin with. They didn't even offer to call the Greensboro dealership for us - just said "oh, sorry - you can call them if you want." I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of customer service was appalling. I will never be returning and would absolutely not recommend Burlington Kia. More

Extremely negative experience w/Burlington Kia. I corresponded with Ashley Lamberson about a specific certified pre-owned vehicle listed on their website. Before I was able to come see it, I noticed corresponded with Ashley Lamberson about a specific certified pre-owned vehicle listed on their website. Before I was able to come see it, I noticed that it was no longer listed on their website. When I asked Ashley about it, she assured me it was still available, and said it wasn't showing because of website problems. I made an appointment to come see the car, and when Ashley called me that day to confirm my appointment I again asked her if it was available and she assured me it was. Once I arrived one hour later I was handed off to another salesperson who told me "Unfortunately the car you were interested in has just been sold." Really, sold in one hour, on a Wednesday morning with not a single customer in sight? It's now obvious that the car sold at least a few days before and was removed from the website for that reason. Ashley lied directly to me multiple times just to get me in the dealership. Why would I buy from a dealership more than an hour from home that lied to me? I can buy from an honest one just a few minutes from home. Worst car dealership experience I've had in years. More
