Jason, Sir: Per our conversation, your service department failed to re-install the oil filler-cap to the engine oil fill port (hopefully my nomenclature is close enough). Although I had not yet discovered it until this morning, if you look in the attached picture you can see the yellow cap sitting towards the front of the vehicle. Following my vehicle's servicing, it was driven by an appraiser. We then ran a few errands before driving back to Berwick, LA. NOT GOOD! I am obtaining an itemized receipt for the motor cleaning and additional required oil. On a separate note, the battery post was corroded and your department recommended some type of cleaning for around 50$. Upon further inspection, the battery was replaced this morning -- it was leaking, and sitting in its own battery acid. In closing, a few years ago I had issues with a VW dealership. I had previously purchased a new VW Jetta TDI, and was getting ready to buy one of their VW "family" vans. I decided to buy a Honda van instead. Why am I bringing this up? The fact that you delicately balanced your comments with me, and used "plausible deniability" on behalf of your service department was off-putting. You then referenced the amount of time you've been working at Bryan Subaru, and then quoted "three times" this type of incident has occurred since you've been employed with them. As a customer with a vehicle we bought new and have diligently maintained with your organization - driving a little over an hour each way to have it serviced/maintenance performed - I can honestly say, I'm not happy with your accusations. You were doubtful a couple of times about your team having made the error, so in essence accusing me of lying, and for some strange reason deciding to sabotage my own vehicle. It just doesn't sit well with me. I just wanted to let you know how if felt after speaking with you today, Sir. I should not have to feel like I am defending myself over an error your staff made. All-in-all, I have had nothing but wonderful interactions with Bryan Subaru, we were planning on returning to purchase a new vehicle this month. (This message was sent directly to the manager in the service department Tuesday June 6 and to date have not received a phone call or email back from anyone.) Subaru is better than this exchange and we will make sure to let people know our experience moving forward if it is not addressed. More
I just bought my second Subaru in 10 years from Bryan and built both of them with the help of Greg Bourgeois in Sales. Greg, like everyone at Bryan, is all help, no pressure, and a total pro.
