Goodbye Pilot, Hello Ascent. TV commercials are a powerful thing. My wife was set on an Ascent. I, on a Pilot. I promised my wife I would at least go bye Bryan Subaru and give it TV commercials are a powerful thing. My wife was set on an Ascent. I, on a Pilot. I promised my wife I would at least go bye Bryan Subaru and give it a look. The sales rep, Orren, listened to my banter and arguments for a few minutes and then gave me facts and figures and a test ride to counter my opinion of the Ascent. Yes, the Pilot was a very good SUV. But dollar for dollar and pound for pound the Ascent beat it out. I chauffeur my grand kids around a good bit and safety is number one. The standard safety features on the Ascent are way beyond anything I had ever dreamed of. Orren, being a lifelong mechanic, was able to explain in terms I could understand, technical features I didn't know existed. When he stepped away from the desk I googled some info he gave me and it confirmed and reinforced his assessment of the Ascent. And the price he offered it to me was better than the offer I was gonna make. With only about 250 miles on it so far it beats my expectations and has amazed my wife and I She just called me from work to tell me about the ride in and explain some new features she discovered. It's gonna be fun. More
