Rob Riker is super helpful friendly and understanding !!! I always get nervous looking for a new car and going into dealerships and having to deal with the car salesman but let me tell you. I had no problem at all the salesman who helped me Rob Riker was extremely friendly honest and helpful when I decided on a jeep I wanted he showed me the features... Which in my past experience most salesmen don't. I know he got be the best price he could and I will always return to him. Great guy and you can tell that about him. I had a question a. Game Changer... Purchasing a Truck can actually be FUN! After a few high pressure encounters where I felt like my salesman was my adversary and competing with me for the upper hand, I dreaded going into ano After a few high pressure encounters where I felt like my salesman was my adversary and competing with me for the upper hand, I dreaded going into another dealer. 15 minutes with Mel and I started to feel better. 30 min with Mel and I felt I had a partner in the buying experience. I was no longer competing with him but instead he was my advocate to help me make the best decision. Be prepared to spend some time because his is very patient and thorough, as it should be. I would have paid more for this service and experience but instead I also got a very fair deal! Go to browns and ask for Mel. Your welcome! BTW – the business manager and guy who handled the final contract were also great to deal with. Sorry I don’t remember their names. More
I was lied to about extended warranty When I purchased my Jeep Liberty 70th anniversary edition in 2011 (The third vehicle I purchased from this dealer), I also purchased an extended warra When I purchased my Jeep Liberty 70th anniversary edition in 2011 (The third vehicle I purchased from this dealer), I also purchased an extended warranty that was supposed to cover virtually everything for life. I was particularly interested in making sure the sky slider was included in the warranty, and was told it was. I would not have purchased it the sky slider was not covered. Since then, the sky slider has been in for repair at Brown's (3 times) and at the Wilmington, NC dealer (Neuwirth's) where I now live. Apparently, up to now, all these repairs were covered under the new vehicle warranty. Today I brought the vehicle in again to Neuwirth's (second time) for another sky slider issue and was told that the sky slider was not part of my "added care plus" warranty as the new vehicle warranty is now expired and could cost up to $3500 to repair. Apparently when Brown's told me I was getting the best warranty possible, they did not give me the "max care" that would have covered the sky slider. I feel that Brown's either made a "severe" mistake in not giving me the "best" warranty I wanted or deliberately lied about the coverage. I have subsequently spoken to Browns Chrysler and was told that they "thought" the warranty I was sold covered the sky liner top, which it does not. They did go back to Chrysler and apparently tried to upgrade the warranty to the "best" available which I was supposed to get, but Chrysler refused to allow the upgrade. Still, I did not get the "best" warranty available that I was told I was getting. After 5 service visits to dealerships concerning the sky liner top, I feel that Chrysler should have addressed the issue. I now have a roof liner that is severely stained from leakage that Chrysler will not address. In the last visit to the local dealership, the sky liner was "readjusted" which can only be done with a dealership computer, and it is now closed (I paid out of pocket for this adjustment). If Chrysler cannot do anything to make the sky liner more reliable, I guess not opening it and hoping it stays closed is my only option. More
