Not overly pushy, knowledgeable about the car and didn't try to scam me. I got the exact car I wanted at a fair price. My one complaint is about the finance department. When signing for the car, I was told that if I took the extended warranty they would apply some bank coupons they had to lower my interest rate by about 2 percentage points this making my monthly payment lower. It seemed like a good deal; lower monthly payments and an extended warranty. So I took it. Upon talking to a friend the next day I was informed that this was a scam. I called the bank that gave me the loan and asked what rate I had been approved for. They informed me it was actually the lower rate the dealer said they were giving me for taking the extended warranty! The dealer lied to me about being approved for an interest rate 2 percentage points higher. My friend knew of this scam because browns tried to do the same thing to him. I immediately cancelled the warranty and will have that money credited to my account. Unfortunately, my payments will be higher than they should have for the remainder of my loan period. So if you buy from browns beware of the scams in the finance department! More

I personally dread the experience of shopping for a new car because I have had numerous negative encounters in the past with car salesman at other dealerships. When my wife and I narrowed down the search and decided that we were going to purchase a Jeep, I called your dealership and spoke to Mr. Rich Roberts and explained to him exactly what we were looking for with regard to interior, color, and engine size. Later that evening when we arrived at the dealership we were greeted by Mr. Roberts and offered a test drive. Mr. Roberts was very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was able to answer all of our questions. After the test drive, we sat down with him and worked out a price for the exact vehicle that we wanted with all of the features. I work three jobs and my wife also works full time, and we have a three year old so there’s not much time for us to go shopping around for a vehicle. I asked Mr. Roberts to give me his lowest price and explained that I was going to shop around over the phone, and if he was the lowest and there were no catches than we would be back the next day to purchase the vehicle. So I did just that, and the next day after doing my research I called Mr. Roberts and told him to write up a contract and I left a deposit. In the past when I was about to sign legally binding contracts with previous dealers, there always seemed to be a miscalculation on the final amount owed in their favor, or there was a bait and switch with the vehicle was not really going to be delivered as promised. I found Mr. Robert’s non aggressive and honest sales approach to be a breath of fresh air; subsequently changing my views on the experience of shopping for a new car. In fact, after taking delivery of the vehicle there was a problem with water leaking into the glove compartment and the headphones for the DVD system broke. Mr. Roberts dealt with these matters personally instead of directing me to someone else. People often write letters when they have negative experiences, but I am writing to commend Mr. Roberts for being so helpful, and it’s because of his knowledge and professionalism that I will visit Brown’s again when I’m looking for another vehicle. I must also mention, the dealership is much nicer from an aesthetic standpoint than others on Long Island. It's much cleaner, and having the service department open late daily till midnight!...That was truly unique and also part of my decision to buy a vehicle from this dealership. 5 Stars! More
As I see someone also earlier posted about Chris I assume we were in the same boat. Horrible at returning calls for weeks. Pretends like he is working on something for you only to chase him down and find o we were in the same boat. Horrible at returning calls for weeks. Pretends like he is working on something for you only to chase him down and find out nothing changed. He even told me he had discussed it with his manager only to find out from the manager that he hadn't been spoke to. I have a 2005 Liberty that I purchased here. Needing only an oil change I was asked to leave the car for the day. Really?? Normally the inspections were done at a local mechanic, but one year the check eng an oil change I was asked to leave the car for the day. Really?? Normally the inspections were done at a local mechanic, but one year the check engine light came on so I took it to the dealer to get fixed and inspected. The catalytic converter was replaced to correct the check engine light (under warranty to 80,000 miles), but I also had a list of things that had to be fixed to pass in spection. I took it back to my local mechanic and they laughed about what Jeep service said, saying that nothing needed to be done at that time. The check engine light came on again a short time later and it became a fiasco. They had theories that cost over $100, I got the same theories for free at two local mechanics. But since the local mechanics were honest about being unsure what the problem was I took it back to jeep, figuring they service jeeps all day long and should know everything there is to know about jeep's. I called the jeep complaint department, saying that I shouldn't have to be charged for theories that mechanic didn't even charge for, but they sided with the service department. So I ended up paying $200 to test the theory. So far that's were I am at. Let's hope this theory pans out and I don't have to pay for more of their professional theories. More
This was a Trail Rated 4x4 Liberty. I took it on the beach. It bottomed out and bent the pan that protects the gas tank and caused it to rub the drive shaft tearing up the boot on it. They wouldn't cove beach. It bottomed out and bent the pan that protects the gas tank and caused it to rub the drive shaft tearing up the boot on it. They wouldn't cove the repair and the mechanic said I must have taken it off road. DUH, why the hell do you think a got a 4x4 that was trail rated? This was a lease. My lease was up, but it was never explained to me that there was a$400 disposition fee. I guess I should have read the fine print. Never again would I go to Brow's Jeep. Fusion finance also nickle dimed me on the wear and tear. Buyer Beware! More

Once the car was sold, the salesman never returned calls. There were issues to correct which the dealership did not correct promptly as promised. The dealership asks that we drop off the car and come back There were issues to correct which the dealership did not correct promptly as promised. The dealership asks that we drop off the car and come back but we don't live nearbynand work even further away making this very difficult. I went there early one day to wait and they told me itbwould only be a few hours. It was just shy of 9 hours when I left. They have your money and that's all they care. More
We had our 2007 Chrysler 300 Serviced, July 5th. We were told that the car was going to be held up 3 days because of the Holiday. that following Monday we tried to get in contact with Chris, left messages told that the car was going to be held up 3 days because of the Holiday. that following Monday we tried to get in contact with Chris, left messages and he never got back to us till that wed. We received word that the car still was not looked at. So frustrated, we went down in person Friday evening after getting the run around. We were told because our rep was out(probably on a vacation) that no one else got around to looking at our car. We asked for a loaner car or a way to compensate us, for the inconvenience; you see we have family on long Island, thinking it would only be a 3 day job, we decided to leave the car in Long Island, and get by with one car and my fiance' motorcycle. We live in the Bronx, so you can under stand our frustration! We were told because we didn't initially purchase the car, we couldn't be provided with one. We had no choice but look for rentals, which we could not be reimbursed. Well we left the dealership, and waited for an answer as to when the car could be initially looked at. you see the car sat for and entire week with out an evaluation. Friday we received a call in the afternoon after leaving a couple messages, that the car wont be looked at till the following Monday. Monday came and we received a call to give confirmation to give the car a diagnostic test. the problem was a gasoline leak, so they couldn't release the car to us, due to the nature of the issue. We were told then on Tuesday that they had to reschedule the labor and assembly because the head tech was backed up. Once Wednesday morning came, i contacted the dealerships manager, he was polite and said that he would get back to us in 15min, yet he passed the news to the original service rep Chris, who was laxed about returning calls and lying about receiving them. so Thursday, we call for status with the car, and they had to schedule with warranty company to look at the car,but the car hadn't been taken apart yet. So they held up the adjuster, and then two days after the adjust had to go back because the dealership claimed there was another crack the warranty comp didn't see. My guess is that they broke it while removing it after adjuster had confirmed what needed to be replaced, and what was covered..etc... I just made no sense to the insurance company, and they had to if they were going to cover the fuel pump with the new crack. Chris left a message saying the fuel pump and parts were in stock and blamed the warranty company for the timing, also badgering the insurance company saying they are not on our side they will give a hard time to cover damages, for cost. We got word from the insurance company saying they kept leaving messages for Chris and he said he never got any calls. Again lied to. Yeah just like he never got our calls. After and argument, we finally got Chis to call the warranty company. Later we were lucky to hear it would all be covered, and the car would be ready the following Monday because the dealership had to sell the fuel pump to another dealer!!! So again the run around. To make a very long story short, the car wasn't ready till tueday. LOL!! So my fiance and i got to pick up the car, and we only had a 200.00 deductible, they tried to scam us by saying we had to pay taxes on it..yeah okay not a wopping extra 105 dollars!!! We asked if they could call the warranty company and they said no. Originally the woman Gene, said come back tomorrow when chris is in, oh NOOO!! you had our car for a total of 25 day!! and from the bronx, we are not going to leave without the car. So we called the insurance warranty company. There was a tax exemption, and the warranty company gave us a tax id # to give proof. The dealer didn't want the tax id, and left the counter, we demanded to speak to someone.. the lady gene came back to say needed to make an adjustment, with an attitude, she was very rude. we got no apologies!! we made the payment and left. never again please don't use this dealership!!!!
