My experience with Harry Stecker and Brown's dealership couldn't have been better. Both Harry and the managers worked hard to get me the best possible price on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. First of all,I would like to say that Maryann not only deserves her own "check off box" with her picture in the above portion of this dealer review, but it is my opinion she should be the FIRST box. Originally, I had gone online the night before meeting Maryann for a internet price. They called it an "e" price i think and said they would send me this super reduced "e" price if I emailed them a request. I was definately thinking "yeah... right" (somewhat sceptical)but I had nothing to lose. It took no time at all and this women Krystin emailed me back a price $2,000.00 less than what was quoted on-line. I thought, "Okay, you got my attention. Great price, fast quote. I will call tomorrow. When I called the next day, I asked for Krystin. She got right on the line and she was super sweet. I asked her if we could talk about the price she gave me and work up some leasing payments to see what they would be.She put me on hold and a minute later this woman Maryann gets on the phone. I'm thinking...HHHEELLLLLLOOOOO? What happened to Krystin?! I was liking her and didn't want to switch sales people. It did not take me very long to realize that Maryann was a doll. She listened to what I needed in terms of my budget and the needs and desires of my daughter and what would be a compatible leasing length and yearly mileage limit based on information i shared about my daughters future schooling and job proximity.She then competently worked up a package for me which was agreeable to all parties involved. (meaning....my husband). I guess any salesman worth his salt could do this except additionally, Maryann was so REAL. She shared her own personal stories about her son and made you feel like you'd known her forever. You felt like you were getting a car from a friend, not someone who just wanted to sell you a car and move on, but someone who cared about all my concerns.When I got to the dealership parking lot with my husband a couple of hours later, the car was all cleaned up and ready to go. When we walked into the showroom, without ever seeing Maryann in person I knew who she was. We threw our arms around eachother and stood in the middle of the dealership hugging. You are probably thinking this is getting alittle strange at this point, but that's just how comfortable and at ease I felt. Like I knew her forever. I trusted her. I also know that if I ever have a question or an issue, Maryann will be there to answer it or make it right. Everything went very smoothly and quickly.Maryann even sat down with me and together we came up with a plan on how to surprise my daughter with her new candyapple red Jeep. But that's a whole other story. More
7 Jeeps ago I tried to get a Jeep from Westbury Jeep and for some reason was turned down. That night a sales person from Grand Prix told me to come there. Recently Grand Prix stopped selling Jeeps and I was for some reason was turned down. That night a sales person from Grand Prix told me to come there. Recently Grand Prix stopped selling Jeeps and I was forced back to Westbury. Big mistake. Just did not like the vibe and attitude nor what was offered. Tried this place - Browns. Very nice. It was clear that they were not only a whole lot friendlier and completely lacking in attitude, but seemed to make every effort to help my somewhat unusual financial needs, and to find a nice vehicle (not just what they had in stock or in Westbury's case - what was overstocked). I expect the sales person to be slightly pushy and plastic - Mel was not. It was like I could see his brain clicking trying to to make me feel comfortable and happy with the offer. Irving was a complete surprise - a manager that out of character seemed to be active in making the deal happen by actually coming over to me and presenting the offers and answering the questions. The look on both of their faces were often ... is thsi OK ... do you like this offer ... do you have questions? And the Financial rep (my least favorite part of buying the car) was amazing. Never pushed and presented lots of options. I will be back ... not just because Westbury was so disappointing, but because Browns was just that comfortable an experience. More
My Fiance and I scheduled an appointment online at Brown's website to view a new Fiat 500. Email correspondence was great. I was able to set up a time and also had a follow up email sent to me to confirm my appointment. Upon arrival I was able to talk to a sales person right away and didn't have to wait in the "queue line" for a sales person during the busy president's day weekend. The place was also very clean and had a mostly friendly and professional atmosphere. Kenny Young was our sales person and he was absolutely phenomenal! He told us everything we wanted to know about the Fiat and helped us decide which model would be best for us. He also was able to get us everything we wanted with out the pressure of up selling us to something else. He was also very patient with us when we decided to change the color of the car even though the bank paper work had already been started. He wanted to make sure we were getting everything we wanted an not just settling because some paperwork had already been put through. Like I said, Kenny was great. The only missteps the we had at the dealership was the financing through Ally Bank (formerly GMAC) and the day of pick up for our new Fiat. Essentially we were approved for a loan on the first Fiat we picked; being that we decided to change color and added an extra $500 option the loan had to be resubmitted. On the day of pick up I was supposed to be at the dealer ship at 1 PM (which I was) and it should only be an hour or so before I could drive off in the new car. Unfortunately that was not the case. My loan on the car we really wanted (only $500 more) did not get approved. Since Kenny (my sales person) did not also get in until 1; my denied loan fell to the way side and no one tried to remedy the situation before hand and car never got prepped for a 1 PM delivery. Kenny was shocked that no one tried to fix this before hand and got his General Manager on the phone with the bank to get my loan pushed through. To further expedite the process, Kenny also helped them prep the car for delivery and made sure billing and financing went as planned. I cant thank Kenny enough for helping with this. It's just unfortunate that the Financing department dropped the ball and instead of leaving at around 2 PM with my new car, I didn't end up leaving until 3:30 PM because they had to remedy the loan situation then and then go forward with billing and all the other stuff that should have been taken care of before I came in. More
This is our third time back at Brown's for a new vehicle. That should tell you how satisfied we are! Five years ago we walked into Brown's and was greeted by Will Reilly, a very nice, friendly sales vehicle. That should tell you how satisfied we are! Five years ago we walked into Brown's and was greeted by Will Reilly, a very nice, friendly salesman. Each time we purchased a vehicle, Will took all the stress out of the process, making buying a new car a pleasurable experience. Since I am handicapped, Will did his best to eliminate unnecessary walking as well. Each of our three vehicles was ready when we were told they would be without issues.
