We are so pleased with our Jeep. Jermal was so nice and patient with indecisiveness! It was what helped us to make the best decisions and we walked out with the Jeep that was the best for us! patient with indecisiveness! My husband had purchased a truck at Brown's a few years ago, had it surviced there as well as had my son's car serviced there, so we went back to buy a car for me. The process was progressing pretty years ago, had it surviced there as well as had my son's car serviced there, so we went back to buy a car for me. The process was progressing pretty well initially as the salesman was glad to see a repeat customer. But trying to get the discounts advertised and others we felt we deserved (along with the best price we could get) was like pulling teeth. When it came down to sign papers, I went in fully excited and ready to get my car and was getting financing through them as well. I then noticed that there was an "optional" fee for the dealership processing paperwork for the DMV of $75. I expressed my surprise and dismay that after paying over $30,000 for a car, I was hit with this optional fee. I asked that it be removed. I was told no by the salesman. When I expressed my dismay as he developed an attitude, he had the manager come over. He tried to rationalize the fee and I told him that I did not think it was fair and felt it was ridiculous. He then got quite rude. He told me, "I am not paying the fee" so I told him I wasn't either. He then closed my folder and in a very unfriendly manner basically told me to leave. He offered me my deposit check back so I took it and my credit application and left. How stupid was that! I had a pen in my hand and they had a deposit check and he got rude and killed a deal over $75! They lost a sale as well as any benefit from financing the car. First of all, that was just stupid business and second of all, the attitude displayed to me alienated a repeat customer (who the salesman admitted could possibly be back for several more cars over the next decade or so) and now Brown's has an antagonist instead of an advocate. What a shame. We went to another dealer, was treated far better, got the car for several hundred dollars less and then they waived the $75 without any fuss. Very happy I switched dealers! More
Our salesperson was Jeff DePinto. All of the interactions with Jeff were GREAT! Bill in finance - *NOT SO MUCH*! Bill doesn't return calls, and was not very friendly. If it weren't for how he interactions with Jeff were GREAT! Bill in finance - *NOT SO MUCH*! Bill doesn't return calls, and was not very friendly. If it weren't for how helpful Jeff was we would have taken our business elsewhere. More
Mr. Jermal Blanco, our salesman, is a very professional gentleman. He worked very hard to make sure we got the car we wanted at the price we needed. As the other reviews state, he is not pushy at all and gentleman. He worked very hard to make sure we got the car we wanted at the price we needed. As the other reviews state, he is not pushy at all and he listens to you when you are speaking. He does not cut you off with a "let me stop you right there", he is actually very attentive. He got the job done while remaining friendly and professiional. I will be back and if you go, you will be too. A+ Mr. Blanco and thnk you. More

Mr. Jermal Blanco was our new car salesman, and he was very informative when we took the car for a test drive. He was always cordial, without giving us too much pressure. He was excellent in giving us a r very informative when we took the car for a test drive. He was always cordial, without giving us too much pressure. He was excellent in giving us a review of the differences in the regular model car, and then the upgraded features on that model when we asked about it. Again, there was no pressure to buy a more expensive car. On the day that we took the car home, he spent over an hour showing us all of the features in the car, inside and out, and on a day in which it was pouring rain. He also stressed to us to review the video that came with the car, as this would reinforce the instructions that he gave us. My wife and I are in our mid-fifties, and it made a huge difference to us that he took the time to explain all of the computer gadgets in this particular car. The cars that we are presently driving are a 2000 Cavalier and a 2005 minivan, and these two cars do not have so many computer gadgets. We did not care for the finance department at all, as there definitely was pressure to finance with them, even after we were firm about financing through our own bank. This is the point where almost all dealerships get it wrong. The salesman has done everything right, and then you have to deal with this finance person telling you why you are wrong about financing with your own bank. It is totally unnecessary. Overall, on a scale of 1-10, we give this dealership a 9, and A++ for Mr. Jermal Blanco. More
Jermal (Mel) was great. Very friendly and not pushy at all. What all salesman should be like. Other dealerships should take note. He helped me through the process and volunteered to do some of the work fo all. What all salesman should be like. Other dealerships should take note. He helped me through the process and volunteered to do some of the work for me. Great price on a new 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a fair price for my trade-in. I was all set set to visit multiple dealers, but glad this was my first stop. I didn't bother checking other places. Business Manager Bill Neikam was just as friendly, and did not try to sell me every extra add on available as I was expecting. A nice change of pace. He beat the financing rate I came in, which was great. No experience with service dept. yet. I live more than an hour away, so I may use a closer dealer for most of that, but will not shy away from Brown's if needed for service. Great place. Ask for Mel !!! More
I began considering a new Charger following it's restyling in 2011. I stopped in to Port Jeff Chrysler/Dodge, only three miles from my home, but was put off by a group of salesmen chatting amongst restyling in 2011. I stopped in to Port Jeff Chrysler/Dodge, only three miles from my home, but was put off by a group of salesmen chatting amongst themselves who dismissed my request for a brochure by passing me off to a busy secretary. I was advised by two friends to avoid Smithaven Dodge due to their bad experiences with that dealership. One of those friends ultimately went to Brown's and had such a good experience in dealing with Rich Roberts that he bought two vehicles from him in one transaction. It was on that friend's enthusiastic recommendation that I went to Brown's and met with Rich last summer. I had an extremely positive experience with Rich but a career change and pay freeze prevented me from purchasing a 2012 at the time. This past spring I was able to make the purchase but Rich had since been promoted to manage Brown's used car dealership in Medford. Rich was no longer able to sell new models, but personally arranged for me to meet with James Rogers at the main location. Jim was waiting for me and immediately picked up where Rich and I had left off months earlier. He was extremely friendly and personable. Within minutes we settled on a 2013 model similar to the 2012 that I had to pass up on my last visit. It was prepped and ready for me to pick up two days later but a computer glitch at my insurance company prevented them from sending a certificate to my bank in time for the bank to issue the loan check, which caused me to miss my appointment. Jim and the dealership management were patient and accommodated me when I arrived the next day. I am grateful to the staff of Brown's, including salesman Jermal Blanco, who was kind enough to entertain my restless children while I was reviewing and signing the paperwork. Tom Riley, a manager from the finance department I had to meet separately was professional and did not push the extra services I refused such as LoJack, extended warranty, etc. I am most grateful to Rich and Jim for their patience and easygoing personalities in dealing with me and the hiccups and crises that might have made me look like a fool, or at least appear not to have been serious in purchasing a car. My dealings with Brown's were the easiest, most pleasant part of the entire process. This was the first new car I've bought, and I intend to go back in two or three years to buy a second. More
